Coding help... Cyclical indicator - page 7

For example look at this picture (is the last week of gbpusd).

I made the test for the entire month

As you can see, if the color change and you are in loss... close with the loss: -8 pips in the example.

Ciao Nicola!

This indicator is very good but it repaints, so I think that open a position only with changing of color is too risky!

Do you make backtest in real time or you have simply tested the past?

Ciao

Lucmat

Ciao,

I tested simply the past but from Tuesday I start to test it in realtime ... of course on a demo account!

Nicola

Just for curiosity, how many sl have you taken in your real time backtest?

I think that the problem of repainting indicator is that they give many signals in the zone of trend changing.

Anyway, good luck!

Ciao..

real time will start next week... I only watched the chart for the past month... simulating the trades:

well: 2 trades closed negatively, -12 and -8 pips and 6 stoploss of 30 pips

total pips gained 1237 in 34 trades (including the loosing ones)

Nicola

Ciao....

GOOD..... these are great results!!!

keep the forum updated on your real time test!

If test is positive I think we can study a solution for EA!!!

Ciao e buona Pasqua

Hi all, congrats to mladen for the great job.

For all the italians guys in this thread, i'm another one! Ciao!

I was backtesting the 2.02 on cable for the last week, faaaantastic!! The only problem is that many positions should be opened or closed during night (here in italy) so my question is, mladen:

- is possible to transform this indicator into an expert advisor?

Thanks and happy heaster to everybody!

Nicola

welcome...

is there any way this indi can be made to not repaint ?

also is there any possibility it could have some other moving averages in the options ?

thanks

WR1,

Don't know what will it look like it some other kind of averages (non-centered, nob-repainting one) is used instead. Will see and if the results is interesting will post it
