i have made a trade copy ea that id like to share,

it copies over the internet or locally

this ea also copies chart objects

this is a hobby to me, its free, no catch, all source files are provided

iv given this ea a complete overhaul

There are many copy tool softwares out there.

But there are 2 very important elements connected to them:

1) or they are very robust and reliable because of the strategie that they need to follow ( for. ex copying the log file) but they will give like a 6-7 sec delay between master and slave account. For scalping systems that is deadly.

2) or they are very fast less then a 1 sec delay between master and slave account ( for ex. only waiting on the answer of the server of the master account) but the way that they need to be so fast they are automaticly very buggy and miss out on trades or clsing of trades.

Under what categorie would you place your copy software ?...

hmm, id say number 1 most describes it

the delay is 2 ticks usualy

i wouldnt use it for scalping

not having to use ftp has made it faster

i figure some1 might use this as a teaching tool, sharing there objects

That's a good point IGoR , there is also little more detail that is a tick, normally a trade should be copied next time there is a new tick on a slave. If the copy software is not doing that then that is of little use.

from what iv seen running it my self

if u leave it alone, its reliable, it works fine

if you keep changing the chart tf, or compiling the ea while its running

you can get error terminated by timeout

at which point the ea will apear to be running, but is not

this is just a hobby to me, otherwise i wouldnt be posting it

feel free to improve it

far as i know, theres no other ea quite like this, or i wouldnt have made it

it is faster than any ea using ftp to upload

 

im curiouse to how you did tick by tick, care to share?

the first attempt at a copy ea i had it updating really fast, on the same tick

but the ea was grabbing partial files because it was getting files while being created

it caused problems like igor minchined in number 2

ah i musta misunderstood

yeah there has to be atleast 1 tick delay

Tom i did put a side note i guess it was too fast .. anyways yes i agree with the tick delay there

it is copying when theres a new tick

theres a tick delay because on the first tick, the sender is creating the file at the same time the copy ea is trying to get it

so its the next tick that the copy ea gets it

heres a new version that you can disable copying of trades, or objects

so you can choose what to copy

Nice work!, though i have created my own version i use personally when needed could copy trade tick by tick over internet. in a sense 1 tick from server opens a trade the next tick from client copies a trade.

side note: The tick delay got to be there .. so ya agree there from my end
