PolyFitScalper - page 74

Hi newdigital,

Yes, I can't agree with you more. We need to select non-martingale settings.

I also tested TickScalper_v3.44.7 and TickScalper_v3.45.7a, they are making very very good profit for now.

newdigital:
Hi stanley18,

I got loss for PolyFitScalper_v1.59_noHedge too but for Alpari account only.

FXCM account survived for now but who knows - max lot size is 0.41 on open trades for USDJPY ...

About PolyFitScalper_v1.61_noHedge with non-martingale settings - it was 66 dollars loss.

I am lucky that this settings is having fixed stop loss for every trade and stop loss value is small one (because initial lot size is 0.1 and this 66 dollar loss made by many trades).

I attached this EA to more pairs so currently I am using EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF and EURGBP.

Deposit is 1,000 and starting lot size is 0.1 (non-martingale settings).

balance is 933 for now. Open trades equity is -22 now (2 open trades for USDCHF).

Seems - we came to the situation to select non-martingale settings for this EA.

because it is better to lose 60 dollars than 3,000 anyway And we need to select more good settings.

As I know - the latest version of Polyfit Ea is PolyFitScalper_v1.7.3 EA, right?

EA is here https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/179781/page18 with some settings, the other settings is on this post https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/179781/page19

So, will see how the situation will be developed for PolyFitScalper_v1.59_noHedge - if in negative way - I will start to use latest PolyFitScalper_v1.7.3 EA for martingale and non-martingale settings for 2 accounts.

----------

By the way - TickScalper_v3.45.7a survived with 7 pairs with small deposit using: max lot size was 0.08 only (for GBPCHF).

Yes ... but ... do you know what is the problem with non-martingale settings?

Look at here:

MM = 2; // Switch(0-off,1-%% of Free Margin,2-L.Williams formula,3-Martingale

So, if non-martingale settings - I am using MM = 2.

And it is L.Williams formula "à-la Igorad" which is not perfect in our case.

Why not perfect?

For example, if EA lost 15 dollars by lot size 0.1 so lot size will be decreased for the next trade

to 0.07 for example ....

We need to use some other MM (more MM options).

Of course, non-martingale is more good than martingale in anyway.

It was good idea for Alpha and Electra EAs: if EA got loss (small one, big one - any loss) so this EA stop trading for at least 1 day (1 day pausing). May be - we will use it for non-martingale settings?

I don't understand why you said stop trading for at least 1 day is a good idea?

Could you explain more?

It was idea implemented in Alpha and Electra EAs: when EA is risky to trade and when EA lost so it may be good to pause for 1 or few days ... just to have a hope that market condition will be changed from negative for us to any.

This idea was implemented and works: if EA lost some percentage of deposit (1%, or 10% ... selectable from the settings) so EA will stop trading automatically for some ... hours (selectable from the settings). After pausing - EA will start trading by itself.
