backtesting is ok.
a system that cant earn money in a backtest: forget it!
a system that ears money in a backtest: do some (realtime)forward testing.
many eas cant earn money on a forward test. history repeats itself, but not down to the tick.
and 2 renko special:
-just because you dont see gaps dont think there are non.
-the swings around news look good, but are you fast enough to trade them?

You cannot... only test on demo acct and you will see that the pure candle ea is no good

the renko indicator posted before was really nice. So i thought of testing it to trade. The only thing I see that if we can put alarm when it changes box, than it is way better as renko doesnt use time, so it makes it a bit tiresome to wait for the box to change color.
hope there is a kind soul here who understands the predicament of waiting in front of the laptop to trade...

seems that this indicator gives out alarm even for a new brick with the same color as previous...
can anyone make the alarm to go off only when the renko brick change color?
If I am knowledgeable in making this I would do it, but my knowledge is zilch when it comes to coding...
