Hi Jeeves,

I see you haven't had any luck with replies. Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean by "to have a wireless connection to one of the sockets".

What is your objective? If you give more details on what you're looking to accomplish, I'm sure the knowledgable people on this forum will be glad to help.

Happy trading,

Ms_Mel

Hi Mel,

Yes, a deathly quiet on the answer front.

(Please keep in mind when reading, that I trade/bet, I'm not in anyway computor literate. So what I'm looking for may well be a crock of dodah!)

Ok...what I'm trying to achieve is this.

Knowing as I do, the way in which brokers/Spread betting companies/Bucket shops etc...will swap an account from online, to telephone trading or betting when a degree of success is reached, I'm planning to trade a number of small accounts through an equal number of providers. In the hope that they will not be flagged & swapped.

On one of my telephone sockets, I have my conputer with a wired internet connection, and three monitors. At present the setup gives me three accounts.

I know I could run a wire from a different socket, & use it to feed another desk top/laptop, but I really would like to do away with that additional wire.

So, I need to know if it is possible to continue with my present setup, and to add a wireless internet connection to one of the spare sockets (Using the same ISP).

I would then add two more monitors, two more currency pairs, & trade them from the laptop.

Thanks

Eh, it doesnt work that way. You need to buy a wireless router (im guessing you have a dsl or cable) and connect that router to the socket, then connect the computer you currently have to the router with a wire. after setting up the router you can connect as much laptops/computer wirelessly as you want. The only problem is that they are sharing the same connection so that can decrease your speed, but you shouldnt "feel" that while trading.

I get this error. I have an EA on 22 charts so I am wondering if this is because of low memory (but then I maxed VPS to 2GB RAM, and still get error). I am wondering if there is an intrinsic limitation of MT4

Thanks LinuxUser, is there anything I can do to remedy the problem?

Healthy warning for all forex traders!

Actually it's not for forex traders only, but for anyone who works daily using mouse and keyboard. Some of you might not know about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, it's some kind of a common source of hand numbness and pain. You can see some of CTS surgery pictures, hope you still good after seeing those.

And it's a big risk for anyone who works daily on a computer that use mouse and computer on bad position. Here are some good positions on mouse and keyboard usage for you:

and more on this post, also some hand exercise while on computer

Hope this information help us on healthy workspace! And hope I'm not posting this on wrong section

How many posts?

Ok, I give in. How many posts do I need to have submitted to be able to PM someone please?

I'm trying to get some feedback on an old thread that no one's replying to yet: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/176317

Cheers.
