Welcome Yoav ! Yes it can be difficult to follow in theses multiples threads and posts. I have some trouble myself but I know my time is well spent here. Some guy here are very advanced but, the good thing about it, I learn someting every day ! Version 5.7.0 is stable. I am using it myself live on GBP/USD. 5.7.3.W got some new interesting features and will probably be called 5.7.4 when stable. Most of us are now moving to Phoenix 6B5 as Daracknor and Pcontour did a superb job integrating a lot of new features and made it easier for coders to work with.

I recommend you start slowly by testing 5.7.0 and P6B5, read as much as possible. The more you read, the more you observe Phoenix behaviours, the more you will understand and will be able to contribute to the community.

Ask your questions as you go, we will do our best to answer them in a timely fashion.

Are there specific settings for each pair?

And what are the default settings for?

You can start P6B5 with USD/CHF with the following setting file posted by Daraknor here :

Each pair need to be set differently. We do optimization, tests, etc., we save our settings and share them with the community. Default settings are in the EA when you attach it to a pair. P6B5 (B for Beta) is fairly recent and Daraknor did find good settings for this particular pair. We are now trying to find settings for other pairs. You are most welcome to join in the hunt !

My VIRUS checker found a virus in the latest update of MetaTrader, so I canceled the update. Does anyone know the full story.

Neither my AVG nor my Kaspersky antivirus picked up any virus signatures. It's most likely a false alarm.

I have sent the file from my virus chest to AVAST, suggesting that they have a false positive. In the meantime it will not allow me to run it.

now i want to start some live trading and i dont know which version

is now recommended by u great guys who do this wonderful developments.

5.6.3 has bugs in it. If you check the Dev thread which is stickied we have a list of stable versions for Phoenix. Previous stable version is 5.7.4. Current stable version is Phoenix 6 Released.

Giyora, I don't know what settings should be used at this time.
