Buy/sell EAs and indicators - page 11

I think you owe it to yourself to study MQL if you are going to to use it. Otherwise depending on others is too dangerous.

Study the code I gave you and see WHAT changes and WHERE the changes I made. That should give you clues on what to change in the sell routine.

Good luck.

I moved your post to this thread.

I think - you will find something here.

Is There A Expert Advisor With A Reverse Option?

Hi Everyone. I have backtested so many EA's, and it seems that most of them will have way more losses then wins.

For example, if I backtest with a $10,000 account, then when it is finished it is often -$2000 or more. It varies depending upon the lot size.

So I was wondering if there are any EA's that have a reverse option so that the EA does the opposite of what it is suppose to do?

For example, when it is programmed to make a buy order is makes a sell order instead, and when it is suppose to make a sell order it makes a buy order instead?

Maybe there is a "reverse" box within the inputs that can be checked so the EA performs opposite of what it is suppose to do.

Maybe then we will have a EA that produces more and more wins as it gets outdated?

EA's with Reverse Trade Functions

Hi to hifromeddie,

There are actually many public EA's that have a reverse trade function. A quick search on TSD and Google will find you many EA's.

In the meantime, 2 quick EA suggestions to look at...for actually using the EA's and the reverse trade function...and they are also great examples for learning from the code itself.

I do not know what the latest versions are, but you can search TSD for the following EA's. Both have Reverse Function and lots of other options:

Pipmaker V17_3

UniversalMACross EA v8.2

Hope this help,

Robert

Thank you very much. I appreciate it.

(By the way when searching for "UniversalMACross EA v8.2" I found another MACross ea called "EmaFibo_v1".

I loaded it into my MT4 strategy tester, EURUSD h1 chart, and ran the test from September 1, 2010 - September 21, 2010, and in that 3 weeks it produced over $14,000. (I used $3000 initial deposit and a whopping 3 lots.)

Results were different with different brokers MT4 platforms.

If this was real money I would have only used .3 lots at most.

The EA seems promising, but like all EA's in unperdictable market conditions it too can have major losses as I discovered when I did a strategy test with it from 2009 - to present.)

EA semiautomatic

Someone knows a EA that only buy or only sold?
