You once told me about a glass in MT5. Could you tell me where you used it?
I can't get enough of it.
;)
Alpari has a stack. The only question is what data gets into it.
What is the stack on Forex...?

There is no mystery in the "stack", i.e. the "order queue". But to understand it, you need to know that there are actually two fundamentally different types of prices on the market. The price of the last deal, and the price of demand/bids. One should also clearly understand that the price of the last deal is an indicator of the past, and the real trade is conducted at the bid/ask prices. It should be noted that both prices exist only as events, which are not bound to time. Moreover, formally the price of the current demand/supply is not "tied" to the price of the last deal. Hence, by the way, part of the problems with the so-called "slippages".
Judging by the fact that so far no one has written a normal indicator that would reflect both types of prices, few people realise this.

I've sorted out the prices, I've sorted out the principles of stack operation, too (according to the materials not related to MT). I have a vague idea how the stock market stack is formed and what to do with it (although before I started testing MT5 it was a concept from the OTHER WORLD for me). But what data does the brokerage centre send there?
PS
Volumes are fine, you can either give your own or from a large exchange. As far as I understand, the stack is only your own (or am I wrong)?

No, of course you're wrong. Volumes are not "okay", volumes are the so-called liquidity - the most important thing on the market. It determines the price, generally speaking.

I must have misspoken. I meant that I am aware of the fact that there are no REAL volumes on the Forex market, unlike the stock market.
And if there will be "real" volumes on currencies, it will be the volumes of the brokerage centre itself or the volumes of a large exchange (but not the volumes of the market as a whole)....
The whole postscript in that post was actually devoted to the fact that in my opinion on the currency market (not to be confused with the fund) the stack will be either from the DC or from a large exchange. But, in any case, for currencies it will display data not on the market as a whole, but only on a certain "sector" of this market.

Trading floors, exchanges, - this is the market, the most real one. There is simply no other market. In the case of currencies, people have recently pinned their hopes on ECN and its like. There real sellers-buyers trade real volumes. And the stack is real. But, there is one thing. Not everything that is called ECN is ECN to the end. But this is another topic. In principle, even on NDD you can have a real stack.
I don't know what is broadcasted into the bet, by currencies, now, in test mode, I don't know, I don't even want to fill my head with it while it is beta. When exploitation starts and when dts start using mt5 - then we'll see.
And in general, as far as I understand the company's policy, the glass is intended more for adult patsans, from stock exchanges. And this is good, as they call it - finally!

Good afternoon!
Please upload a library of functions or provide a code listing for generating ticks. Preferably for mt4 as well
Thank you!
