How It Works
The EA identifies session breakout levels over a configurable lookback window. When price breaks above or below the range with buffer confirmation, four independent scoring components must agree before entry:
- ADX Trend Strength — confirms directional momentum is present
- EMA Alignment — validates trend direction via moving average crossover
- ATR Volatility — filters out low-volatility noise and false breakouts
- RSI Momentum — confirms entry isn't into an overextended move
All four components must score above a configurable threshold before any trade opens. This multi-factor gate eliminates weak breakout signals and false entries.

A note on Gold: XAUUSD is volatile — 28.73% max drawdown is aggressive but the equity curve is smooth (LR Correlation 0.94) and the account never went below starting balance over 3 years. Risk-based sizing at 1.5% is the key — it self-corrects through drawdowns instead of accelerating losses like fixed lots.
