How To Trade Pro 2.6 is out — a completely new engine under the old name.
The old intraday logic lost its edge, so I replaced it instead of patching: trend-following on gold (XAUUSD), one position, hard stop-loss in every order from the first second, no grid, no martingale. Risk is one setting — 1%, 2% or 3% (+76% / +224% / +482% over 3 years on real ticks, drawdown 6.6% / 13.3% / 19.9%).

Incident report: the June drawdown was an infrastructure failure, not a strategy failure. Here are the facts and the fixes.
What happened (verified by Windows event logs and terminal log files):
On June 10, 2026 at 01:42 server time the VPS crashed on the hosting side ("the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first").
After recovery, Windows Update installed a queue of updates and force-rebooted the server at 02:53.
The MetaTrader 5 terminal did not start again after that reboot. The EA was offline for 5.5 days — from June 10, 02:53 to June 15, 17:54. There are simply no terminal log files for June 11–14.
During this window the EA could not manage its open positions: no position management, no reaction to the market. Broker-side protections remained, but the EA's own risk layer was off.
The floating drawdown that built up during and after the outage peaked at 41.87% equity drawdown in late June (you can see the 31–34% warnings on this page dated June 26–30). By June 30 the warning was cleared.
Why this matters when you evaluate this signal: The 41.87% maximum drawdown you see in the statistics includes this infrastructure incident. Before it, the strategy's maximum drawdown over 33 weeks of live trading was around 20%. I am not hiding the number and I am not resetting the account — the history stays as it is.
What changed so this cannot happen again (deployed July 11, 2026):
Windows Update is disabled at policy level — including the service that silently re-enables it. No more surprise reboots.
The terminal auto-starts after any reboot (scheduled task + auto-logon). If the server restarts for any reason, trading resumes within ~2 minutes.
Heartbeat monitoring: the server pings an external monitor every 5 minutes; if it goes silent, I get an instant Telegram alert. The maximum unnoticed downtime is now 15 minutes, not 5 days.
Self-healing: if the terminal process dies, it is relaunched automatically.
I would rather explain a real number than quietly delete it. The weak point was the infrastructure — and it is now fixed.

Many of you saw the 41.9% drawdown on my signal and got worried. Let me explain exactly what happened, step by step — I'm always straight with you.
First, the main point: this was not a strategy failure — it was a maintenance force-majeure. For those whose EA kept running normally on all 6 pairs, the real drawdown did not exceed 23%.
Two things happened:
1️⃣ Minor — my own mistake. On 30 Jan 2026 at 11:09 I accidentally opened a few gold trades on the wrong account. I cleaned up the consequences, but because of it the Algo trading metric dropped to 96% (the system counted those as manual trades). It did not affect the EA's own trading.
2️⃣ The real cause of the deep drawdown — the EA was offline for 3 days and I didn't notice. After a Windows update, my hosting provider did not restart the EA and gave me no warning, and I was extremely busy at that moment and didn't check. For three days the positions were left unmanaged — that's where the abnormal number came from. Had the EA kept running, the drawdown would have stayed within that ~23%.
Bottom line: the EA works and the strategy is healthy. The failure was operational and human, not in the trading logic. The lesson for all of us: an EA needs a reliable VPS and at least minimal monitoring — a host's updates and reboots can silently switch your robot off. On my side, I'm making sure this can't happen again.
