Hi, You can use the free demo for backtest only. MQL5 only allows bactest.

Max history bars would depend on the data you want to gather. If you trade 15, determine which data you need to gather

Ex, if you want to analyze 1 week of data using M15, the you can set MaxHistoryBars to 480 (1 day = 96 M15 bars) (5 days = 480 M15 Bars)

When analyzing data, you also check if there is sufficient past signals in order to gather meaningful result, you might be interested with at least 10past signals

to calculate statistics.
