Eckardt Adaptive Algo for MetaTrader 5
Eckardt Adaptive Algo is an automated Expert Advisor designed to adapt its trading logic to different market conditions.
The EA can identify trending, ranging and breakout conditions. It combines technical confirmation with automatic position sizing, spread protection and account-level risk limits.
The EA trades the symbol of the chart on which it is attached. The default signal timeframe is M15 and can be changed in the inputs.
Main Features
- Automatic market-mode selection: switches between trend, breakout and mean-reversion logic.
- Four strategy modes: Auto, Trend, Breakout and Mean Reversion.
- Trend detection: uses fast and slow exponential moving averages together with ADX confirmation.
- Momentum confirmation: uses RSI to filter weak or overextended entries.
- Breakout detection: checks recent market highs and lows before opening a position.
- Mean-reversion entries: uses Bollinger Bands, RSI and ADX during ranging markets.
- ATR-based protection: Stop Loss, Take Profit, Break Even and Trailing Stop adapt to current volatility.
- Risk-based lot calculation: position size is calculated from account equity and Stop Loss distance.
- Automatic margin control: verifies available margin before sending an order.
- Flexible account support: adjusts position size for different balances and leverage settings.
- Minimum-volume protection: skips a signal if the account cannot safely support the broker’s minimum lot.
- Spread filter: blocks new trades when the spread exceeds the selected limit.
- Daily loss protection: stops opening new trades when the daily equity-loss limit is reached.
- Equity drawdown protection: prevents new entries after the configured maximum drawdown.
- Broker stop validation: respects Stop Level, Freeze Level, Tick Size and the current Bid/Ask prices.
- Break-even management: can move the Stop Loss to the entry price after sufficient profit.
- ATR trailing stop: follows profitable positions while respecting broker restrictions.
- Buy and Sell controls: either trade direction can be enabled or disabled.
- Single-position option: can limit the EA to one position per symbol and Magic Number.
- No Martingale: the EA does not multiply lot size after a loss.
- No Grid recovery: the EA does not open recovery grids to compensate for losing trades.
Strategy Modes
- Auto: the EA evaluates market strength and automatically chooses breakout, trend or mean-reversion logic.
- Trend: searches for entries in the direction of the dominant EMA trend.
- Breakout: searches for confirmed breaks of recent highs or lows.
- Mean Reversion: searches for potential reversals near Bollinger Band extremes during lower-trend conditions.

Recommended Use
- Attach the EA to one chart for every symbol you want to test.
- Use a different Magic Number when running different settings on the same symbol.
- Start with the default settings.
- Test the EA in the Strategy Tester using real ticks and realistic spreads.
- Run it on a demo account before considering live trading.
- Do not optimize settings using only net profit. Also review drawdown, profit factor, number of trades and result stability.
Important Information
The EA can operate with different balances and leverage settings. However, it cannot open a trade when the available margin is lower than the margin required for the broker’s minimum lot size. In this situation, the signal is skipped without sending an invalid order.
No trading system can guarantee profits. Historical or simulated results do not guarantee future performance. Market conditions, spread, execution speed, symbol specifications and broker settings can affect the results.
Always test the EA on a demo account first and use risk settings appropriate for your account.
