Northstar Trend Confluence Matrix MT5
Northstar Trend Confluence Matrix MT5 is a chart-window indicator designed to turn multi-timeframe trend evidence into a clear, disciplined market context.
The dashboard evaluates five configurable timeframes and separates higher-timeframe direction from the current H1 phase and lower-timeframe timing. This distinction helps prevent a temporary pullback from being mislabeled as a complete trend reversal.
MULTI-TIMEFRAME MATRIX
Each timeframe is analyzed with five independent components:
• EMA structure: fast and slow exponential moving-average relationship
• ADX/DMI: trend strength and directional movement
• MACD: directional momentum
• RSI: bullish, bearish, or neutral regime
• Ichimoku: price location relative to the cloud
The matrix displays every component, a normalized score, and a concise state for M5, M15, H1, H4, and D1 by default. All five timeframes are configurable.
REGIME AND PHASE CLASSIFICATION
The overall engine gives higher weight to H4 and D1, then uses H1 and the lower timeframes to classify the current phase. Possible contexts include:
• Confirmed uptrend or downtrend
• Bullish higher-timeframe pullback
• Bearish higher-timeframe rally
• Bullish or bearish higher-timeframe pause
• Range or compression
• Mixed or transitional conditions
The separate status line summarizes the current phase without treating every short-term disagreement as a major reversal.
RANGE DETECTION
Range classification combines ADX below the trend threshold, Bollinger Band width below the compression threshold, and a low absolute five-factor directional score. Thresholds can be adjusted for the symbol and trading style.
CONFIRMED SUPPORT AND RESISTANCE
The structure engine searches the selected timeframe for confirmed pivot highs and pivot lows. It displays the nearest confirmed support below price, nearest confirmed resistance above price, distance to each level in ATR units, and optional horizontal chart lines. Confirmed pivots require bars on both sides of the turning point.
CLOSED-BAR ANALYSIS
Completed-bar mode is enabled by default. All components then use the last closed candle, keeping the dashboard stable until the next bar closes. Current-bar mode remains available as an input.
