Overview

EA Breakout by LB is a fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed to trade Gold (XAUUSD) on the H1 timeframe. It captures high-probability directional moves by waiting for the market to show its hand — entering only after a confirmed breakout and a structured retracement, not on raw momentum alone.

No martingale. No grid. No averaging down. Fixed risk per trade, every time.

Trade Structure

Each valid setup opens 4 simultaneous positions sharing the same stop loss:

• Three positions close automatically at progressively wider profit targets
• The fourth position — the runner — is left open to ride the trend as far as possible

Profit protection activates in stages as each target is reached:

• When Target 1 is hit → the second position moves to breakeven
• When Target 2 is hit → the runner moves to breakeven
• When Target 3 is hit → a trailing stop activates on the runner

This structure locks in profit early while keeping the door open for larger moves.

Built-in Filters

Entries are only allowed when all conditions align simultaneously:

• Trend filter — confirms the dominant market direction
• Momentum filter — blocks entries during low-energy, sideways market phases
• Spread filter — dynamically scaled to current volatility, not a fixed threshold
• Session filter — restricts trading to the most active market hours

The result is a selective EA that sits out most of the day and strikes only when conditions are right.

Dashboard

A real-time on-chart panel displays:

• Current market conditions and filter status
• Active breakout setups waiting for entry
• Live trade group status (targets hit, breakeven active, trailing active)
