Five ways a backtest flatters an Expert Advisor Over the last few weeks I have been testing a gold breakout Expert Advisor. During the optimisation I found a set of parameters that turned 10,000 USD into more than 108,000 USD in the strategy tester. I did not ship it...

Gold Maximizer is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that trades support and resistance breakouts on XAUUSD. It combines nine independent breakout strategies on one chart. Each strategy works on its own timeframe, watches its own price levels, and opens at most one position at a time. When price breaks out of its recent range, the pending order is

Apex Drawdown Zero Just Hit V9 — And It Grew Up Fast
Filed under: robots that behave better than most humans in a drawdown.
There are trading EAs that show up loud, blow the account by Thursday, and vanish into the "past results" graveyard. And then there's Apex Drawdown Zero — the gold robot that was always more interested in not losing your money than in fireworks. This week it graduated. Say hello to V9.
We sat down with the update (metaphorically — it doesn't talk, it just quietly waits for the right setup) and honestly? It's a glow-up.
From "Gold-only" to "Bring the whole watchlist"
V7 was a gold specialist. A one-market surgeon. V9 walked into the gym over the summer and came out multi-pair: it now runs XAUUSD, EURUSD and EURJPY — each with its own tuned personality. Same discipline, three markets, zero drama.
The part everyone's going to love: one click
Here's the headline. You drop V9 on a chart and… it configures itself. New AUTO preset engine reads the symbol and loads the right settings instantly. No PDF archaeology. No "wait, what's the risk-reward for EURJPY again?" There's even a button on the dashboard to flip between presets live, like changing the radio station — except the station is your risk profile.
"It's the first EA I've seen that sets itself up faster than I can find the inputs tab." — a very real feeling you'll have in about 30 seconds
Smarter under the hood (we're not telling you how)
The strategy stays exactly where it belongs: proprietary and sealed. What we will say is that V9's thresholds are now volatility-aware — the robot reads how wild the market is and adjusts on the fly, instead of using the same rigid numbers on a sleepy Tuesday and a payrolls-day riot. One qualified trade a day. A stop-loss on every single trade. No martingale, no grid, no "recovery mode" prayers. Still the calmest bot in the room.
Prop-firm crowd, this one's for you
The FTMO-style edition with the Guardian layer is still riding shotgun — daily-loss brakes, drawdown brakes, target lock the second you pass. It watches your challenge rules so you don't have to babysit a chart at 2 a.m.
Okay, how do I get in?
Glad you asked. 😏

Run it on demo first, meet your broker's conditions, trade responsibly — the robot's disciplined, and it'd like you to be too. Then let V9 do the boring, beautiful work of waiting for the right trade.
Apex Drawdown Zero V9. It doesn't chase. It waits. And now it does it on three pairs, all by itself. 🥇

My Experience with MQL5 – Why I'm Moving On
To everyone who has supported MPC Labs over the years, I believe you deserve to know why I will no longer be selling through the MQL5 Marketplace.
After years of developing Expert Advisors, providing customer support, releasing updates, and helping traders, I found myself unable to sell on the platform.
I contacted MQL5 Support to understand why.
I asked simple questions:
- Why am I no longer allowed to sell?
- Was this an administrative decision?
- What rule or policy was applied?
- Is there an appeal or review process?
I also requested that my case be reviewed by a different member of the MQL5 Administration because I was concerned about how my ticket had been handled.
Instead of receiving clear answers, I was told:
«"You don't want it - ok. We don't need this attitude too."»
«"Good luck selling your products somewhere else."»
Later, after asking again for clarification, I received only:
«"Unfortunately, you are not allowed to sell products anymore here."»
No explanation of the reason. No reference to any rule or policy. No explanation of whether my request for an independent review had been considered.
I'm not sharing this to attack anyone. I'm sharing it because I believe developers deserve clear communication when decisions affect their business and livelihood.
I have accepted that MQL5 has decided I can no longer sell on its Marketplace. I respect that every private platform has the right to make its own decisions.
What disappointed me was not only the outcome, but the lack of explanation and the way my questions were left unanswered.
Rather than spending more time fighting a decision I cannot change, I have chosen to move forward.
From today onward, MPC Labs will focus on platforms and systems that I own and control. My goal remains the same: to build great products and support my customers directly.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Your trust means far more than any single marketplace.

To all my customers and followers,
I would like to inform everyone that I am no longer actively operating on the MQL5 Marketplace at this time.
Due to unresolved concerns regarding my seller account and earnings, I have decided to remove my focus from MQL5 until these matters are properly addressed. As a result, my projects, Expert Advisors, and future updates may no longer be available through MQL5 for the foreseeable future.
I have invested significant time and effort into developing my products, supporting customers, creating custom configurations, and maintaining the quality of my software. Until my concerns are resolved, I do not feel comfortable continuing business through the platform.
I sincerely appreciate all customers who have supported my work. This decision is not directed at my customers but is a result of ongoing issues that I believe need proper attention.
I will provide further updates if and when the situation changes.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

PRICE INCREASE IMMINENT Apex Drawdown Zero | Professional XAUUSD Range Breakout EA Last Chance to Lock In at the Current Price Before Demand Forces a Raise...
Tshivhidzo Moss Mbedzi
Hey team,
I owe you all a sincere apology. Over the past week I've been seriously ill, and that led me to push an update while I wasn't at my best. During that time I was compiling the EA using the AVX512 + FMA3 build setting instead of the standard X64 Regular — which caused compatibility issues on most machines. That was my mistake, and I'm sorry it affected your experience with the EA.
The errors you saw were a direct result of that, not your setup. I've corrected the build and pushed a proper update that addresses several other bugs I found in the process. Everything should now run as expected on standard MT5 platforms.
What was fixed in this update
1
OCO logic — retry on failed order deletion
The EA now only clears a ticket reference after a deletion is confirmed successful. Previously, a failed delete would still clear the ticket, blocking retries on the next tick.
2
Range calculation — missing M1 history handling
Added explicit checks for incomplete M1 history when calculating the London/Asian range. The EA now logs the error and retries on the next tick instead of silently proceeding with a bad range.
3
Risk management — spread included in SL distance
The lot size calculation now factors in the current spread when sizing the stop loss. This prevents actual monetary risk from exceeding your set risk amount on high-spread pairs.
4
Error logging — detailed messages for failed orders
Failed Buy, Sell, BuyStop, and SellStop calls now print a specific error description to the Experts log, making it much easier to diagnose any order execution issues.
Please download the latest file from your MQL5 purchase page or Shopify order and replace your current EA. If you run into anything after updating, send me a message directly — I'll sort it out fast.
Thank you for your patience, and again — I'm genuinely sorry for the disruption this week.
