Matrix Arrow EA MT5 was updated with the addition of Signal Confirmation true/false setting and of a second Confirmation Timeframe setting.

When Signal Confirmation setting is true, the Matrix Arrow EA MT5 will use the Confirmation Timeframe in order to check if the Matrix Arrow Indicator signal of the Working Timeframe is in the same direction with the Matrix Arrow Indicator signal of the Confirmation Timeframe, in order to open or not the appropriate buy/sell trade.

This new setting can make the Matrix Arrow Indicator signals even better and more accurate.

Please update your Matrix Arrow EAs MT5.

Hello Leonardo, you need to login into your MQL5 account in MT5 >> Tools >> Options >> Community tab with your leofcunha login and then go to the Market tab, Purchased option and install your Matrix Arrow EA MT5 as you did in your other computer.

Hello Marco, these set files are for trading BTCUSD, CADJPY, EURAUD, EURGBP, EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDJPY, NZDUSD, USDJPY, XAUUSD with Matrix Arrow EA MT5.

If you want to use them on the corresponding instruments, you need to unzip the file and load each set file on your Matrix Arrow EA MT5, attaching it on the appropriate symbol.

You can load a set file, by opening the expert wizard window of your Matrix Arrow EA MT5 and click the Load button on the bottom right side.

I like to use a % trade risk per trade. How do I get the EA to place 1%:1% risk to reward trades? Right now, it's 1%:0.5%

Hello, if you use risk % and you want to have 1:1 risk/reward trades you must apply the same stop loss and take profit levels, for example 200 points stop loss and 200 take profit, actually you may need to give a little more take profit, like 220 points to cover any spread and commissions charges.

But have in mind that by altering the provided set files settings, you will not get the the expected results from them, unless you want to use your own settings entirely.

I will update the Matrix Arrow EA MT4/5 today or tomorrow with new optimizable format for the trading hours and also 15 new set files for 2022.

One other question though. It seems that the currency pair window needs to be in focus for the EA to open a trade. Is there a setting I'm missing? I have the EA running on the 10 pairs on 30 min charts, but it seems the trade only opens when I actually go to the window so I have to scan each window every 30mins. Am I missing something? I'd like to just check each night what the EA has made me.

The EA doesn't need to have the chart open in front of you in order to trade, you've probably missed something.

Are you trading with the panel, by clicking the Full Algorithmic Trading option? Or you have your desired settings applied in the EA's inside settings and you trade with them?

I have received some feedback that some of the set files I introduced 2 months ago, based on the 2021 Matrix Arrow EA MT5 backtests, were not doing that great at the beginning of 2022.

I was also 'instructed' that a longer period of optimization, 2-3 years back instead of the 12 month optimization I am usually doing, would produce better and more adaptable to all kinds of market results.

In the previous 2 months, I've performed optimizations for a few symbols, based on a 3 year period (2019-2021) but I regret to say that the set files I produced were performing worse in 2022 than those that were based on 2021 alone.

So my idea that a closer to current market optimization would work better on the future market, is not that far from truth after all.

From now on all the optimizations I will perform will be based on the following sequence:

1. Two months after the 12 month period I want to optimize, I will perform new optimizations for all symbols, based on the prior to these 2 months period, for example I did new optimizations in February for the entire 2021.

2. I will test the best results that come out of that optimization, on the entire 12 month + 2 extra months period that has already passed, so in this example I backtested all optimized results on the entire 2021, plus Jan-Feb of 2022.

3. I am keeping only the results that perform well in these 2 extra months that follows the optimization period, so in our example I publish new set files only for the results and symbols that perform well at the beginning of 2022 too.

4. I will repeat this procedure 2 times every year, in February and in July, so you would expect new set files for the Matrix Arrow EA MT5 in coming August and in March of 2023 next.

Thank you for this great EA, I find it just fine, I have been testing it and watching its performance for about a week or so, I analyzes every trade took by the EA and each and everyone of them their is a logic behind. But in a such situation we are going throw I am sure nobody can beet this market or can predict the price. I assume the EA would perform better if the market is in normal situation, most of the losses I had, have nothing to do with the performance of the EA but because of the craziness going around because of the war and the inflation and the uncertainty everybody is facing in the market.

I am attaching two pictures of the performance of the EA since I started, and looking for a new updates of the EA and may be more Set files to add.       

That's great work Rafat, I never claimed that the Matrix Arrow EA is some miracle EA, I tried to design an automated trading system that will absorb most of the market's jumpiness and volatility and produce solid results in smoother periods.

My advice to all users of the Matrix Arrow EA is to test all the provided set files and any personal variations you have in mind, find the ones that suit you best and trade many of them together and not only 1 or a couple, diversifying your risk.

The best setup for the Matrix Arrow EA would be to trade 8-10 symbols/instruments with 0.5% to 1% risk per trade, in order to withstand any sudden turns of the market any enjoy at the same time solid results in calmer times.

The addition of Stop Loss, Take Profit, Break Even and Trailing Stop Loss levels in Percentage of Average Daily Range of a set number of Average Daily Range Candles.

Below you can see a very good example of Gold/XAUUSD that was very volatile during the last 2 months due the war and the improvement that is made in its results when the Stop Loss and Take Profit are expressed in Percentage of the Average Daily Range (which increased very much recently) instead of fixed levels in points.
