Tidewall Big Trades shows the large trades of the market as bubbles on your chart: green for aggressive buyers, red for aggressive sellers, bigger bubble for more contracts.
Big-trade bubbles are an order-flow tool used by many futures scalpers. They often serve as an extra confirmation before an entry: are large aggressive buyers or sellers really behind the move?
How it works
- Reads the real exchange trades (time and sales) of your symbol, tick by tick.
- Green bubble: a buyer took the ask. Red bubble: a seller hit the bid.
- Trades with the same millisecond, side and price are added up, so a large order filled in several pieces shows as one bubble.
- Bubble size grows with the number of contracts. The very big trades show their size next to the bubble.
- Draws the last hours at start (240 minutes by default), then keeps going live.
- Hover a bubble to see its side, size and price.
Settings
- Minimum size for a bubble and size of a very big bubble (in contracts), to adapt to each market.
- History length, maximum number of bubbles, colors, labels on or off.
- Tooltips and messages in English or French.
Please read: it needs real exchange volume
- Made for exchange-traded futures whose broker sends the real trades with their volume: Nasdaq (NQ, MNQ), S&P 500 (ES, MES), Dow, gold (GC, MGC), oil and others.
- On most forex and CFD symbols the broker sends no real trades, so there will be no bubbles.
- Starting values (10 and 50 contracts) suit the Nasdaq E-mini. Lower them for micro contracts or quiet markets.
- It shows what happened. It does not predict the next move and it does not trade.
