Trend Pullback Signals

EURUSD Trend Pullback

EURUSD Trend Pullback is a MetaTrader 5 indicator for reading trend continuation setups on currency charts. It was designed around EURUSD on the H1 timeframe and focuses on a simple market sequence: an established trend, a controlled pullback toward the fast moving average, and a momentum confirmation after the pullback.

The indicator does not open, modify or close trades. It presents chart information so that the trader can review a setup and decide how to manage the trade independently.

Trading idea

The indicator combines the 50-period and 200-period exponential moving averages (EMA) to describe the current trend and the direction of the slower trend slope. It checks a recent interaction with EMA 50 to identify a pullback instead of an entry after an extended move. The 14-period relative strength index (RSI) crossing the 50 level provides momentum confirmation. The 14-period average true range (ATR) provides filters for candle size, distance from EMA 50 and reference stop distance.

A BUY arrow can appear when the completed candle closes bullishly above EMA 50, the broader trend is upward, a recent pullback has touched EMA 50 and RSI has crossed above 50. A SELL arrow uses the corresponding downward conditions. The signal is evaluated only after the candle has closed.

Chart display

The chart can show confirmed BUY and SELL arrows, EMA 50 and EMA 200, the latest signal's reference price, a reference Stop Loss level, a reference Take Profit level, and a compact status panel showing the active symbol, timeframe, data status and latest signal.

The reference price is the closing price of the signal candle. Reference levels are calculated from the recent price range and ATR. They are planning levels for chart analysis, not promises of execution prices. Spread, slippage, commission, swap, broker stop-distance rules and the chosen exit method can change the result of any trade based on a signal.

Closed-candle signals

The current forming candle is excluded from confirmed BUY and SELL signals. Historical arrows are calculated from the signal candle and earlier candles. The indicator does not use future candles to move a confirmed arrow to an earlier location. When the chart timeframe, settings or broker history changes, the terminal may recalculate historical values from the new input data.

Notifications

Optional MetaTrader popup alerts and push notifications can be enabled from the inputs. Historical arrows are not sent as a batch when the indicator is first attached. Notifications are intended to inform the user that a new completed candle has produced a setup; they do not place orders.

Suggested use

The reference configuration is EURUSD H1 with EMA 50, EMA 200, RSI 14, ATR 14, a three-candle pullback lookback, a three-candle slow-trend slope lookback, a 1.20 ATR minimum stop distance, a 3.00 ATR maximum stop distance and a 1.50 reference reward-to-risk setting.

These are starting settings for research and chart review. They are not a guarantee that the same settings are suitable for every broker, spread model, market condition or trading plan.

Installation

Copy the compiled EX5 indicator to the MQL5 Indicators folder, refresh the Navigator and attach EURUSD Trend Pullback to an EURUSD H1 chart. Broker symbols with a suffix can be used by attaching the indicator to the broker's own EURUSD chart symbol. The indicator needs no DLL, WebRequest call, external data feed or account connection.

Limitations and risk notice

This product is a chart analysis indicator, not an automatic trading system. It does not provide investment advice and does not guarantee profitable results. An arrow is a historical condition produced by the programmed rules, not a prediction that the next movement must follow a particular direction.

Profit Factor and performance statistics are not included because the indicator itself does not execute trades. A complete performance assessment requires a separately defined entry price, position size, stop handling, exit rule and realistic trading costs. Users should evaluate those choices with their own broker data before risking capital.
