Index Dip Hunter Pro is a multi-index portfolio Expert Advisor that buys short-term pullbacks inside long-term uptrends on the world's main stock indices — all from a single chart.
How it works
- Trend filter: an index is only traded when its daily close is above the 200-day SMA. When an index falls below it, the EA stays flat on that index.
- Entry: buys when yesterday closed near its daily low (IBS < 0.20) or after a sharp short-term drop (RSI(2) < 10).
- Exit: sells into strength (IBS > 0.80 or RSI(2) > 70), or after 10 daily bars at most.
- Protection: every trade has an emergency stop loss at 3× daily ATR. Long only. No martingale, no grid, no averaging down.
- Portfolio control: maximum 2 positions at the same time (configurable), so a market-wide sell-off cannot stack up exposure on every index.
- No repainting: every decision is made on closed daily bars.
Supported indices
SPX500, NDX100, DJI30, GER40, FTSE100, JP225, STX50. Broker names are detected automatically (US500, NAS100, US30, DE40, UK100, JPN225, EU50, with suffixes like .cash). You can edit the list and its priority order. Important: the EA is designed for stock indices. If your broker offers none of them, it falls back to trading the chart symbol only — this is not recommended and was not part of our research.

Recommended setup
- Attach to one chart only (any symbol, D1 recommended). The EA trades all indices from that chart.
- Account: hedging or netting, low-spread indices, leverage 1:20 or higher. Recommended balance: $10,000+ (smaller accounts may skip some indices because of the broker's minimum lot).
- Strategy Tester: model "1 minute OHLC" (the logic is daily), D1 chart, start date at least 1 year after the beginning of your broker's index history (the trend filter needs 200 daily bars).
What to expect (honest)
- It trades only when there is a pullback in an uptrend: some weeks have several trades, some months very few.
- It performs best in rising or sideways-rising markets. In a prolonged bear market most indices fall below the trend filter and the EA stays mostly flat.
- Win rate in our tests was around 70–80%, with small average wins and fewer but larger losses. Expect drawdown periods of several weeks.
- Past results, backtests included, do not guarantee future results. Test on a demo account first.
