Four Week Notice brings a patient, systematic approach to EURUSD trading. It looks for price to move beyond an established range, then manages exposure as the move develops. Automated execution and configurable risk settings help traders follow a consistent process without having to monitor every potential entry manually.
Historical performance
In the supplied MetaTrader 5 backtest, Four Week Notice finished with a net gain of 23.64% over the period 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2026, after the commission and swap recorded in the report. An initial USD 100,000 finished at USD 123,643.80.
| Net profit | USD 23,643.80 |
| Net return on initial deposit | 23.64% |
| Profit factor | 1.78 |
| Maximum equity drawdown | 5.31% (USD 6,801.19) |
The positive overall result was achieved with fewer than half of the trades profitable: winning trades collectively outweighed losing trades and recorded costs. This is a useful feature of the reported outcome, rather than a reliance on a high win rate. The full balance history also shows periods of retracement and recovery.
Net realised results were positive in each calendar segment covered by the test: August-December 2024, calendar year 2025, and January-July 2026. These segments have different lengths; this does not mean every month was profitable or that returns were evenly distributed.
The approach
The methodology combines range-breakout entries with ongoing position management. It is designed to participate in directional price movement while allowing the trader to configure exposure and operating controls. Optional additional exposure and automated exit management form part of the approach.
- Systematic buy and sell opportunities on EURUSD.
- Configurable position sizing and exposure limits.
- Automated management of open trades.
- Daily-loss monitoring for this strategy's trades.
Test conditions
The supplied report identifies Four_Week_Notice on EURUSD, using an H1 tester chart, Darwinex-Live historical data, a USD 100,000 initial deposit and 1:33 leverage. These are simulated historical results, not a live account record or broker endorsement.
The results use the source-default configuration. A preset matching the reported test is supplied separately. Results were checked against the supplied exports; the test has not been independently rerun.
Getting started
Use the Market demo in MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester and evaluate the configuration with your own broker's conditions. Select the correct EURUSD symbol, load the intended preset and review the operating guide before use. Support is provided through MQL5 product comments and messages.
Risk and operating considerations
Backtests do not predict future returns. Losing trades and drawdowns occur, and spreads, costs, leverage and execution can materially change results. The daily-loss control is a strategy-level trigger, not a guaranteed or account-wide loss ceiling, and does not capture every cost. Restarting can reset in-memory controls; unsuccessful risk-reduction actions require monitoring and are not automatically retried once the loss trigger is latched. Read the operating guide for account-mode and pending-order limitations.
