Multiple MT5 accounts, historical HTML reports, and thousands of individual entries are processed through one guided annual workflow for traceable review and transfer to a tax adviser.

One guided annual workflow

Accessible accounts are read directly through MT5. Complete MT5 HTML reports can be added for old or closed accounts. A central start page then guides the user to the versioned tax-adviser package and final ZIP release.

1. Select the tax year and capture all accessible live accounts or HTML reports.
2. Prevent duplicate sources and reconcile own transfers across accounts.
3. Technically reconcile gross result, commissions, swaps, and fees.
4. Convert individual deals to EUR using the applicable ECB reference data.
5. Review special entries and create a versioned handover package.

Main features

Data sources and compatibility

Live capture uses official MT5 account data and is not tied to a specific broker. HTML import has been practically verified with complete ICM MT5 reports.

Other broker-related MT5 HTML formats may work. If their structure differs, an extension may be required. In that case, the user can provide an anonymized sample report for a possible compatibility extension.

Languages and tax scope of version 1.0

The interface can be switched completely between German and English. Version 1.0, however, exclusively supports technical preparation for Germany, private assets, and the confirmed CFD rule path. The English interface is therefore initially intended for English-speaking users with a German tax connection. In version 1.0, the tax-adviser package and final ZIP are generated in German.

Accounts, brokers, and account currencies may be international. Live MT5 capture is designed to be broker-neutral, but tax release in this version remains limited to the stated German scope.

Safe Market demo

The automatic Strategy Tester demo uses clearly identified synthetic sample data only. It reads no real account or Common files, creates no exports, and performs no network requests.

Licensing and future development

MT5 Tax Control is intended to be available as a 12-month license and as an unlimited license. The current introductory price reflects the Germany-focused scope and feature set of version 1.0.

If substantial functions or additional compatibility are added, the price may increase for future purchases and new rental periods. Previously purchased unlimited licenses remain valid and receive future product upgrades within this product line without a separate upgrade charge. Active rental periods receive updates made available during their validity.

A selectable, country-neutral technical reporting mode with a fully English output package is planned as a future extension. It is intended to prepare data for further review in the relevant country without claiming German or other national tax rules. This extension is planned as an update to this product rather than as a separate paid edition. Its scope and release date will be determined after development has been completed.

Important scope limitation

MT5 Tax Control is a technical data-preparation utility. It does not calculate personal total tax, replace tax or legal advice, produce a DATEV posting batch, or transmit data to ELSTER.

Tax classification, offsetting, and filing remain the responsibility of the user and their tax adviser. Results should be professionally reviewed before being used for tax purposes.
