Hassila Cable Quant is a mean-reversion expert advisor built for one pair and
one timeframe: GBPUSD on M15.
It is not a multi-pair robot. There is no symbol list in the settings and no
"universal" mode: the engine is calibrated on how the cable behaves, and the
EA itself checks at startup that the chart symbol really is GBP/USD before it
trades anything.

WHY GBPUSD ONLY

The cable does not move like the other majors. It has a wider daily range, it
opens with force at the London session and it changes character when New York
comes in. A mean-reversion system lives or dies on that difference: the same
RSI thresholds that work on a quiet pair fire far too early on GBPUSD, and the
stop distances that are fine on a quiet pair are simply too tight here.
So nothing in this EA is generic:
· The RSI thresholds and the ATR multiplier are set against the cable's own
typical range, not against an average of several pairs.
· The default trading windows follow the GBPUSD session structure.
· The calendar filter watches the events that actually move sterling and the
dollar: Bank of England, UK CPI, UK employment, Federal Reserve, Non-Farm
Payrolls, US CPI.
· Every broker suffix is recognised automatically: GBPUSD, GBPUSD.pro,
GBPUSDm, GBPUSD_i, GBPUSD#. The name is not compared against a fixed string
— the two currencies of the symbol are read directly. If your broker adds a
suffix it still works, and the panel shows the real symbol name.

THE TIMEFRAME: M15, AND WHY

The EA is attached to a GBPUSD M15 chart and works on closed bars.
· 7-period RSI on M15 — the signal.
· 14-period ATR on M15 — the stop and target distance.
· One decision per M15 bar. No tick-by-tick reading, no mid-bar entries.
· Cooldowns and pauses are counted in M15 BARS, not in minutes, so the rhythm
of the system does not change when the market goes quiet.
M15 is not an aesthetic preference. On faster timeframes GBPUSD mean reversion
sits below the noise and below the cost of the spread; on slower ones the
signals become too rare and the ATR-based stop grows large against the target.
M15 is the point where the cable's average excursion still pays for the
distance you have to risk.
TRADING HOURS. Beyond the timeframe, the EA controls WHEN it trades:
· Two independently configurable windows, meant for the London session and
the New York session.
· Choice of clock: server time, fixed offset, or true UTC with US and UK
daylight saving computed by the EA itself.
· Optional New York cut-off: stop opening at one hour, close everything at
another.
· Four ready-made profiles so you do not have to build the configuration by
hand: free, London + New York, conservative, and overlap only.
The product manual explains in detail which clock to use in the Strategy
Tester and which one in a live account, because they are not the same and that
difference changes the results.

HOW IT TRADES

When an M15 bar closes inside the trading window, the EA looks for RSI(7) in
an extreme zone and enters with the reversion. Target and stop are computed
from the current ATR at a 1:1 ratio and are sent to the server with the order
itself: the position is never left unprotected, not even if the connection
drops or the terminal is closed.
After a target is hit it can chain a reactive trade in the direction of the
move, inside the same risk model.
EXPOSURE CONTROL. Position size is scaled by an anti-martingale factor: it
increases after a win and decreases after a loss — the opposite of a
martingale, which doubles after a loss. The factor has a ceiling and a floor,
it survives restarts, and it can be forced back to 1.00 at startup.
AUTOMATIC BRAKES, all enabled by default:
· Mandatory cooldown in bars after every loss.
· Long pause after a run of consecutive losses.
· Regime watchdog: if the win rate of the recent trades drops below a
threshold, the EA stops itself for a number of bars.
· Daily loss cut-off and cumulative loss cut-off.
· Maximum trades per day.
· Entries rejected when the spread is above normal.
· Optional clean restart: clears factor, streaks and pauses at startup.
The state of the brakes is persisted in the terminal, so restarting MT5 does
not hand the EA a second chance it had not earned.
NEWS FILTER. It uses the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar and blocks trading
around high-impact GBP and USD releases, with a margin before and after. It
excludes holidays, debt auctions and speeches, and recognises event names in
both English and Spanish. It ships switched OFF on purpose: the calendar does
not respond inside the Strategy Tester, and leaving it on would give the false
impression that it had been tested.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO. No grid. No martingale. No averaging into a loser. No
hidden stops. No recovery cycles that double the risk. Every position is born
with a real stop and target on the server.

PANEL AND CONTROL

An on-chart panel shows the full state on one screen: effective risk and the
computed lot, stop and target in pips, current spread, active window and
session, server clock, M15 RSI and how far the signal is from firing, calendar
status with the next and the last event, win rate of each engine separately,
result for the day and in total, streak and next factor, equity and drawdown.
A clear diagnostic line comes first whenever the EA cannot trade: AutoTrading
off, terminal disconnected, read-only account, symbol in close-only mode. You
know why it is not entering without reading the log.
MODE button on the chart: switch between defensive, normal and aggressive
profiles with one click.
OPTIONAL BRIDGE. The EA can publish its state to JSON files for an external
dashboard. The command channel ships closed, requires a shared key, accepts
only defensive actions — pause, resume, close, change profile — and never
accepts order-opening commands. It cannot touch positions belonging to other
expert advisors.

REQUIREMENTS

· Symbol: GBPUSD (any broker variant).
· Timeframe: M15.
· Account: netting or hedging both work. Stacking several positions at once
requires a hedging account; on netting the EA detects it and disables that
feature by itself.
· Spread: this is a cost-sensitive system. Use a low-spread account with
commission properly declared.
· VPS recommended so trading windows are not missed.
· Before going live: run it on a demo account with YOUR broker, with YOUR
spread and YOUR commission configured. Results depend on execution
conditions and are not the same at two different brokers.
