Break Trend is an automated Trendline Breakout Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed to identify confirmed ZigZag swing structures and trade breakouts from dynamic Support and Resistance trendlines.
The EA focuses on a simple concept:
Identify Swing Structure → Draw Trendline → Wait for Breakout → Confirm Candle Close → Execute Trade
Key Strategy
Break Trend uses confirmed ZigZag swing points to build two dynamic trendlines:
Resistance Trendline – HH → LH
The EA identifies a confirmed Higher High (HH) and Lower High (LH) and connects them to create a dynamic Resistance Trendline.
When price closes above the Resistance Trendline, the EA can generate a Buy signal.
Support Trendline – LL → HL
The EA identifies a confirmed Lower Low (LL) and Higher Low (HL) and connects them to create a dynamic Support Trendline.
When price closes below the Support Trendline, the EA can generate a Sell signal.
Confirmed ZigZag Structure
The EA is designed to use confirmed ZigZag swing points rather than relying on an unconfirmed current swing.
When a new confirmed ZigZag structure appears, Break Trend can update the active Support and Resistance trendlines and extend them into future price action.
This allows the EA to continuously adapt to new market structures.
Breakout Confirmation
Break Trend uses a closed candle to confirm a breakout.
BUY
Price closes above the Resistance Trendline.
HH → LH → Resistance Breakout → BUY
SELL
Price closes below the Support Trendline.
LL → HL → Support Breakout → SELL
The EA is designed to avoid repeatedly entering on the same breakout candle.
