Goldrix Duo: Dual-Strategy Breakout Trading for Gold

Goldrix Duo is a fully automated Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold) that runs two independent strategies side by side from a single chart. Each strategy enters with pending orders at key price levels, so a trade is placed only when price action supports the move. Every decision is rule-based and applied the same way every time. The Strategy: Simple, Disciplined, Protected

  • Two Strategies, One EA: Strategy S1 and strategy S2 each look for their own setups and manage their own trades. You can enable or pause either one at any time.
  • No Stacking: Each strategy holds at most one trade or pending order per direction. It never adds to a trade that is already open.
  • Built-in Protection: Every order is placed with a predefined Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP).
  • Profit Optimization: A Trailing Stop locks in gains as the market moves in your favor.
  • Sustainable Ethics: There is no Grid, no Martingale, no Cost-Averaging and no Recovery system.
  • Pure Logic: The EA relies on rule-based price action, not on Machine Learning.
  • Smart Time Filters: A daily break and Friday protection keep the EA out of the market during low-quality hours and over the weekend. All times can be adjusted in the Advanced Options.
  • Clean On-Chart Panel: A compact panel shows S1 and S2 side by side, with status, open trades, pending orders, floating and daily results, the combined risk and a countdown to the next break. You can pause or resume each strategy with one click.

System Requirements

  • Account Type: A hedging account is required. Low Spread (ECN/Raw) is highly recommended.
  • Gold Symbol: The account must offer gold (XAUUSD) quoted with 2 digits, for example 4123.45. Please check the symbol specification with your broker before use.
  • Infrastructure: A VPS (Virtual Private Server) for 24/7 uninterrupted operation. Low latency to your broker's server is recommended.
  • Minimum Capital: $100 (with the default Fixed Lot of 0.01).

Installation Guide

  1. Pair: XAUUSD (Gold).
  2. Timeframe: 15-Minute (M15).
  3. Setup: Attach the EA to one XAUUSD M15 chart and allow automated trading. Both strategies run from this single chart. You can use the default settings or adjust the lot and risk parameters.

Risk Management Settings

Choose your exposure with the Risk Type parameter:

  • Fixed Lot: Trades a fixed lot size defined in Fixed Lot (default 0.01).
  • Risk per Trade: Calculates the lot size from a percentage of your equity, defined in Risk per Trade (%) (default 1%). The percentage is applied to each strategy separately.

Strategy Control

  • Enable S1 / Enable S2: Turn each strategy on or off. Both are on by default.
  • Magic Number S1 / Magic Number S2: Each strategy uses its own Magic Number so its trades stay separate. The two numbers must be different. Change them only if they conflict with another EA on your account.
  • Show Panel: Show or hide the on-chart panel.

Advanced Options: Time Filter Guide

The time filter decides when the EA may place new orders. The times below are written on a GMT+2 clock and are converted to your broker's server time by the Broker GMT Offset setting.

  • Daily Break (default 21:15 to 01:15): No new orders are placed during the break. By default, pending orders are canceled and open trades are closed when the break starts. Both actions can be switched off.
  • Friday Break (default from 15:25 on Friday until the market reopens): Works the same way as the daily break and keeps you out of the market over the weekend. It can be switched off completely.
  • Broker GMT Offset: Set the offset manually (default +2) or let the EA detect it automatically. If your broker's server time is GMT+2, you do not need to change anything.
  • Follow Early/Holiday Session Close: Optional. When enabled, the break starts a set number of minutes before the broker's session close if that is earlier than the normal break time. This helps on holidays and shortened trading days.

Consistency is Key. Please allow the EA to operate for a sufficient period before evaluating its performance (we suggest at least 3 months).
