MGBOT1 XAUUSD

A defined gold trading process for MetaTrader 5. MGBOT1 checks completed H1 breakout signals with H1 and H4 trend confirmation throughout broker trading hours. The strategy uses its weekend filter and does not have a morning-only entry session.

How it works

An H1 candle closing beyond the preceding 20-bar channel can qualify when H1 and H4 EMA20/50 direction agrees. The initial stop distance is two H1 ATR14 units; the target is three times that distance. The strategy uses fixed volume and at most one position per symbol and magic. It does not use grid, martingale, partial exits or automatic breakeven.

The customer edition checks broker volume steps and limits, stop geometry, filling policy, free margin and the broker order precheck. Actual fills are reconciled against the opening price. If protective levels cannot be confirmed or corrected, a protective close is requested and new entries remain blocked while it is pending. Broker or connection problems can delay execution. Accepted order and position identities are retained locally for recovery after a restart.

One continuous native MetaTrader 5 backtest from 1 October 2025 through 30 September 2026, reported in UTC broker-server time. Starting balance USD 5,000; fixed volume 0.12 lot; XAUUSDm; M1 driver chart; 1:2000 leverage; 30 ms execution model. The report shows 74% real ticks, with the remainder generated from historical data. Recorded commission, swap and fees are zero; additional broker costs would change the outcome.

Capital comparison

The gallery uses the historical net ratio of 14,726.18 / 5,000 for capital amounts from USD 5,000 through 100,000. Only the USD 5,000 base was tested; larger rows are linear arithmetic illustrations, not separately tested capital/lot configurations, compounded results or profit forecasts. Keeping the same fixed volume while increasing capital does not scale dollar profit. Different sizing and broker conditions require separate testing.

Requirements

Use current desktop MetaTrader 5 and a hedging account with the broker's XAU/USD spot contract. Broker suffixes are accepted. H1/H4 price history must be available. M1 is the reference chart, although signals use the internal H1/H4 timeframes on any chart period. No broker or account-number binding, external activation server, DLL or external data upload is used. Netting accounts are unsupported to prevent merging the EA's position with other trades. There is no news or holiday calendar filter in this strategy.

Inputs

InpLots: fixed requested volume, default 0.01. Invalid broker volumes are skipped, never silently increased.

InpEnableEntries: permit new entries, default true; protective recovery remains active.

InpMagic: unique instance identifier, default 26261026. Use only one instance per account/symbol/magic and do not change it while a trade is open or unresolved.

InpDeviationPoints: requested deviation in broker points, default 30.

InpAutoServerUtcOffset: detect server UTC offset in forward operation, default true.

InpTesterServerUtcOffsetMinutes: historical server offset east of UTC in minutes, default 0. Used by the weekend filter in Strategy Tester, or forward when automatic detection is disabled. Split tests at historical DST changes.

InpWriteAudit: optional local diagnostic CSV, default false.

InpShowPanel: compact chart status, default true.

On attachment, the current H1 bar is consumed to avoid stale entries. An execution timeout without a confirmed order or deal remains paused rather than risking a duplicate order; reconcile account history and contact support before altering recovery state. Use the Market evaluation version in Strategy Tester with the intended broker, sizing and realistic costs before purchasing. Past or simulated results do not guarantee future performance.
