EMA Trend Following with Bollinger Band Squeeze-Release Confirmation

Trend Follower ESR is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed to identify directional trading opportunities using Exponential Moving Average (EMA) crossovers and Bollinger Band volatility conditions.

The strategy combines trend-following signals with volatility-based entry confirmation and ATR-based trade management. Its purpose is to provide a systematic, configurable approach to trend trading using explicit and repeatable rules.

How the Strategy Works

1. EMA Trend Signals

The Expert Advisor monitors configurable fast and slow EMAs on the M5 timeframe to identify potential directional entries.

2. Bollinger Band Squeeze-Release Confirmation

An M15 Bollinger Band filter evaluates periods of relatively compressed volatility and subsequent expansion. The filter is used to qualify EMA entry signals.

Users can configure the Bollinger Band period, deviation, bandwidth percentile, historical lookback, and release window.

3. ATR-Based Risk Management

The Expert Advisor uses H1 Average True Range (ATR) measurements to determine initial Stop Loss and Take Profit distances.

ATR multipliers are configurable, allowing users to explore different exit distances for different instruments and market conditions.

4. EMA-Based Exits

In addition to protective SL and TP levels, the strategy monitors EMA conditions for potential exits. Configurable exit parameters allow users to adjust the strategy's response to changing trends.
