Gold Quintet — Five Gold Trading Strategies in One EA
Gold Quintet is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed for gold trading. It brings five selectable strategy profiles into one chart, with automated pending-order entries, stop loss, take profit and trailing-stop management.
Each strategy has a simple True/False switch, allowing you to choose which profiles are active.
Five strategy profiles
-
Scalper — Uses its own entry, exit and trailing settings. Enabled by default.
-
Swinger — Uses wider stop-loss and take-profit distances. Enabled by default.
-
Positive RR — Uses a configured take-profit distance greater than its stop-loss distance. Enabled by default.
-
Custom — Uses your chosen stop loss, take profit, trailing settings, entry offset and trading pause. Disabled by default.
-
Prop Scalper — Uses an initial protection period before applying its normal exit and trailing settings. Disabled by default.
Strategy names describe the available profiles. They do not guarantee profitability or compliance with any proprietary trading firm's rules.
Trading and account compatibility
On hedging accounts, enabled strategies can operate simultaneously on one chart. Each strategy uses a separate magic number and maintains its own trade management, cooldown and signal tracking.
On netting accounts, Gold Quintet runs only the first enabled strategy in the input list. With the default settings, this is Scalper. To use another strategy on a netting account, disable the strategies above it.
Built-in profiles use their own signal timeframes, regardless of the timeframe of the attached chart. Custom mode uses the chart timeframe.

Main inputs
-
Strategy 1–5: Enable or disable each strategy.
-
Money management: Choose percentage-risk sizing or fixed lots.
-
Risk percent: Position-sizing risk setting for each strategy trade.
-
Lots: Fixed volume for each strategy trade when percentage-risk sizing is disabled.
-
Maximum spread: Spread threshold for new entries; zero disables this filter.
-
High-spread pending deletion: Choose whether pending orders should be removed when the spread exceeds the configured threshold.
-
Custom mode settings: Set take profit, stop loss, trailing activation, trailing distance, pause duration and entry offset. Distance inputs use broker points.
-
Protection settings: Configure daily profit/loss thresholds, equity protection and scheduled closing controls.
-
Base magic number: Identifies the EA’s trades. Gold Quintet reserves five magic numbers starting from this value.
-
Delete pendings on removal: Controls pending-order cancellation when the EA is detached.
-
Panel and logo settings: Adjust the chart interface’s visibility, position, colours and size.
Lot size and percentage risk apply separately to each strategy trade, not to the combined portfolio. Enabling additional strategies can increase total exposure. Account-based protection calculations may also reflect activity outside this EA.
Before using Gold Quintet
Test your chosen settings using your broker’s gold symbol and trading conditions. Review position sizing, spread, trading hours and account type before enabling automated trading.
Disabling a strategy also stops its trade management. Arrange management of existing positions and pending orders before disabling that strategy or changing its magic number.
Trading involves risk. Stop losses and protection settings cannot guarantee a maximum loss during gaps or slippage, and past or backtested results do not guarantee future performance.
