Rule-Based Trend Following with EMA, RSI and ATR Risk Management

Al Fajr Trend is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 built around a straightforward trend-following framework.

The system combines Exponential Moving Average crossover signals, RSI confirmation and ATR-based trade management to identify directional market conditions and manage each position according to predefined rules.

The objective is not to trade every market movement, but to participate when the programmed conditions for a directional setup are met.

Core Strategy

EMA Trend Signal

The EA monitors a fast and slow moving average and looks for a crossover that indicates a potential change in market direction.

RSI Confirmation

A Relative Strength Index filter is used to confirm bullish or bearish momentum before an entry is considered.

ATR-Based Protection

The Average True Range is used to calculate dynamic Stop Loss and Take Profit distances according to current market volatility.

Risk-Based Position Sizing

Position volume can be calculated automatically from the selected account risk percentage and the current Stop Loss distance.

Spread Filter

The EA can prevent new entries when the current spread exceeds the configured maximum.

One Position per Symbol

The system is designed to avoid accumulating multiple positions for the same symbol and Magic Number.

Rollover Protection

When enabled, the EA can stop opening new positions before the configured rollover time and close its managed position around the specified rollover window.

No Grid. No Martingale.

The trading logic is based on predefined technical conditions and structured position management.
