Writing on May 3, 2026:
I first subscribed to this signal when it was called "Golden formula crazy", was provided by MQL5 user Macy Chan username golden_gold_trader, had a start date in early March, and cost $30. It worked great for a week, then broke (wasn't connected to MQL5), I contacted MQL5 support, the signal disappeared from the system, and now it reappeared under this new name "Safe Trder For Gold" coming from MQL5 user Li Han Qiang username goodforextrader (yet with the same signal number and link as before), with a start date of May 2, and with a cost of $99. It still has no description. I tried writing to Li Han Qiang ~20 hours ago and my message is unread for now (I understand it's the weekend, no complaints from me, it's just that I tried but couldn't get a clarification on what happened yet). My messages to Macy Chan from last month are also still unread.
Also, taking a closer look at the equity drawdown graph under the Risks tab, I now see there were likely more periods when the signal was disconnected from the MQL5 service (after it was first added in early March and before my subscription in mid-April) - those occasional horizontal lines showing constant tiny yet non-zero equity drawdown are probably a result of new data not coming to MQL5 during those periods despite of having positions opened at the start of the periods. This also means we have no way to know if max equity drawdown was possibly higher than MQL5 reported, although the trading style here looks so good that it's plausible the drawdown wasn't much higher anyway.
I think I won't dare to continue following this signal now - it lacks description, possibly still lacks support, has a history of flaky connection (dangerous when not all trades have SL set all the time), and now is also priced higher. A subscriber would need to invest an amount sufficient to justify the higher subscription price, but with no description, no support, no indication that the connection issues have been reliably repaired, and confusing history investing in this feels like gambling despite of the trading itself looking very good.
I don't want to hurt the signal's reputation by writing this, but then I also don't want my old review to misrepresent the signal as coming from its old provider and to confuse other prospective subscribers - so I felt it was my responsibility to this community to either explain what I know or delete my review. Unfortunately, I won't be able to edit this further without an active subscription. The best way the provider can address this now is by writing a description that would not only talk about the strategies, etc., but also explain history of the signal and plans for its future. There may very well be a valid and reassuring explanation.
As I wrote on April 22:
Unfortunately, there's currently no description for this signal. This appears to be a mix of larger trades (0.18 to 1.25 lots on $160k signal account balance) usually (but not always) with visible stop-loss, and tiny (0.03 to 0.05 lots) grid trades (so far seen only on April 16 and April 21) without visible stop-loss. The trades are really good. Max equity drawdown on the signal account since signal listing (so for 1.5 months now) is extremely low at 1.1%.
Importantly for copying with a smaller balance, where distinction or precision of trade sizes is lost in scaling down and rounding, there's decent profit factor not only in USD, but also in pips. So this remains profitable.
I am concerned the tiny grid trades may turn this otherwise conservative signal into high risk when copying with a much smaller balance (much less than 1/3 of the signal account's, so with grid trade sizes rounded up to 0.01). On the signal account this grid is almost negligible, yet for a subscriber with much smaller balance it may be fatal if a lot of such trades are ever opened on a large price movement - or maybe not, if there are hidden safeguards in place, but we have no way to know. I may have a use for a higher risk signal, no problem, but I would have liked to know. I also don't know if these tiny trades are automated or manual (they may be too small to bother managing manually on the signal account, hence the concern that their number may potentially grow uncontrollably).
The copying quality (to a different broker, in a VPS) is very good for me despite of the expected value (so including both profits and losses) of XAUUSD price movement per trade being very small (about 1.31 all-time so far, if I did my math right).
User support appears close to non-existent. My direct message here is unread for 12 days now. However, Macy's profile here has a link to her professional website, where there appears to be a contact form... if you know the language.
Overall, this is a decent signal, which could be further improved by adding a description that would address smaller balance concerns (and give a specific recommended minimum balance).
As the signal currently is, it appears to be more for public track record than for safe copying. That's fine, and I greatly appreciate the ability to copy it affordably anyway. Thank you, Macy!
Update on April 28-29:
The signal worked great for me until April 24, but starting April 25 (Saturday) my MQL5 VPS is unable to connect to the signal server, and it appears the MQL5 website isn't either (shows "Latest trade: 5 days ago" and lists the last trade from April 24 simultaneously as still open and as closed at a profit per trading history). Meanwhile, I saw another subscriber join and leave (subscriber count increased to 2 for a while, then went back to 1), I guess because they also could not connect to the signal server.
