Connecting Addons and other Custom Indicators Problems Solving

Let’s see what problems can happen when connecting the indicators and how we can solve these problems.

Initially, we must define the path for placing the custom indicators. To do this, we launch the MT4 terminal and select from the menu:

Next step  ‘MQL4’ folder:

…and  ‘Indicators’ folder:

Next step, we launch the MT4 terminal and the Scalper Inside Pro indicator:

Choosing  Select Strategy = Custom Indicator:

If we leave the  ‘Custom Indicator Name’ field blank…

…then Scalper Inside Pro will show the following error message:

On the computer keyboard, we type the name of the indicator we need:

Buy Buffer = Buffer 0 (for 'Colosseum' and 'Samurai' add-ons)

Sell Buffer = Buffer 1 (for 'Colosseum' and 'Samurai' add-ons)

After that, we click OK and accept the changes.

Success! The  ‘Colosseum’ addon (custom indicator) is connected to the  Scalper Inside Pro indicator:

Now we can continue to analyze the markets and enjoy trading!

🔸 I've often been asked if there are any plans to discount the SCALPER INSIDE PRO soon?

Unfortunately, no sale is planned in the near future. I plan to increase the price soon, as the development and testing of new versions of the indicator, as well as the addition of new functions, takes a lot of time.

Of course, for those who have already purchased SCALPER INSIDE PRO, the price will remain unchanged!

Hi. Not just on TP1 targets, otherwise profits would have been too small, and losses could have overtaken them.

Please read my blog; there is a lot of information about the indicator with examples of opening positions and screenshots.

💡 About the workflow of creating the new version (v3.0) of the Scalper Inside Pro indicator

The new variable [Use Time Filter] allows you to exclude the opening of positions during the night market flat (or any other time).

The gray-colored arrows and levels mean that the signals were received outside the trading time.

Why do I need presets in Scalper Inside Pro?

That's right; presets are not essential for the Scalper Inside Pro. You can easily adjust the indicator to any trading style that suits you. You can even create and test your trading strategy with the Scalper Inside Pro indicator. With the Scalper Inside Pro indicator, you can adjust any parameters - such as loss and profit levels, etc. I came up with a system of presets to create optimal indicator settings and simplify the indicator's initial setup. Then you can develop and tune your own system (if you find it necessary).

Will be the presets for all trading instruments in the new version?

Will be a few presets to start with, and this number will be increased and supplemented in future versions of the indicator. I also plan to create a fully automated system for finding optimal settings for any instrument, which will be available to my clients.

Will this affect the increase in the price of the indicator?

Yes, unfortunately, the price of the Scalper Inside Pro indicator will rise gradually as new versions and additions are released, as development, optimization, and testing takes time and effort. Of course, for those who have already purchased the indicator, all updates will always be free of charge.

Shady Shata
I purchased the indicator. Can I use the best pairs, time frame and settings according to your experience?!

Alexey Minkov
Hello Shady. Thank you for choosing my products.

To make a long story short, I'm comfortable with the default settings in most cases. Also, in the indicator settings, you can find the 'Strategy 1-2 Sensitivity' option where you can see the presets for the major currency pairs:

You could say that these are favorite currency pairs, but it's not that simple. By the way, thank you, you gave me an idea for my next blog article, where I will look at this question in even more detail. But now, I will also try to answer it in as much detail as possible.

My favorite timeframe has always been and will always (I think) be M5, as I prefer the scalping trading style, although lately I've been doing a lot of programming, so I've been paying less attention to trading due to lack of time. However, we were out of focus... So, about the timeframe and why M5? Here everything is quite simple - on the M5 timeframe, there is less noise than on the M1, but we see the price movement more accurately than on the higher timeframes.

But what's very important! Although I use most of the time M5 timeframe, I constantly analyze the higher timeframes in advance (to find strong levels, for example).

Alexey Minkov
Now, as for my favorite trading instruments. Earlier I thought it was very important to find a favorite trading instrument and trade only on it. My opinion has significantly changed since then. Yes, there are still pairs I feel more comfortable with (EURUSD, for example), but I'm trying not to list them as my favorite instruments.

Why is this so? Because when you place something in the "Favorite" section, you automatically get attached to it, and even if this trading instrument at the moment does not allow you to profit for any reason (flat market, release of important economic news, holidays, etc), you still focus only on it, missing the opportunity to make money on other instruments. And they - other trading instruments - may be more profitable than your "favorite" instrument at the moment.

If we are talking about practice, then I will tell you one of the ways I look for a suitable trading instrument at the beginning of the trading day.

Firstly, more details on my blog, you can check it out here: How to Analyze Markets with Scalper Inside PRO

To simplify my work, I first look for the most potential pairs by the best % of reaching TP1 and TP2 levels. Next, I pay attention to the absence of important news on these pairs in the near future in order to avoid unpredictable news volatility. If I am already in the market, I take my positions to Breakeven if possible. Basically, I trade several trading instruments at once, in order to diversify risks. If (for example) the situation is not in my favor on some trading instruments, I may close all positions, regardless of whether they have reached TP1, or TP2, or TP3. For example, in case of a strong volatile movement, I prefer to make some loss by closing positions, but avoid larger losses if the price moves quickly and unpredictably.

If you open the chart of a trading instrument and see a series of losses and a low percentage of profitable trades, then feel free to dismiss this trading instrument for today and move on to the next one.

This way, you can have a different instrument every day, and practice will help you work with it. Build strong levels on higher timeframes. I prefer to do this manually as it is much better visible to the naked eye, but in the future, I will certainly try to release an indicator for such levels as I get a lot of requests for this. And if you are just at the start, choose 1-2 symbols that you are more familiar with, for example, EURUSD, GBPUSD, and practice on them.

Hey Alexey,

I red in your guides that you prefer the Delta Entry instead of the Next Candle Entry.

But your Indicator is using Next Candle Entry as a default?

Can't decide which one to take, which one would you recommend?

Hey Alexey,

But your Indicator is using Next Candle Entry as a default?

Can't decide which one to take, which one would you recommend?

Hi Sarah.

A good question to which there is no simple answer. Each of the ways of opening positions has its pros and cons. But if you know how to apply them, it becomes much easier. It is important to look at the problem as a whole - a one-size-fits-all solution is not always the best.

Delta Entry is an excellent way to filter out false breakouts and avoid unsuccessful position openings. It works best in a not very active market or low- and medium-volatility trading instruments. Its main weakness becomes evident in the active trend market or very volatile instruments - we filter positions, but we can miss good ones or lose some profits because of it.

Next Candle - we open positions on the next candle after the signal, do not wait for anything. It is a variant of position opening for active traders. It has its advantages: we do not miss signals and are constantly in the market. This is also a disadvantage: we can get losses more often since we do not miss anything. This type of signal can be used, for example, to build grid systems or systems based on Martingale. Also, this type allows the possibility to open a larger number of positions, which is suitable for systems that use rebate services as an additional profit.

For example, let's first look at the EURUSD currency pair in Open Mode = Next Candle:

Now let's look at the same chart when Open Mode = Delta Entry is activated:

That's why Delta Entry mode is a good option in most cases, but it depends on your target and the strategy you are implementing with the indicator.

And any of these ways is fine, as long as you don't jump into the market rashly. I recommend you watch out for important news and avoid opening positions just before the news and just after the news. The technical analysis often doesn't work at those moments, and the price can move unpredictably against the technique. It is also important to focus on strong levels on higher timeframes. I often repeat this, but only because it is really important! If there is a strong level in the way of our potential target (which has been tested by the price several times), it is better to avoid such positions than to sit through a rebound from the level. Or to use this strong level as a target is also a working option.
