iam running a EA on my metatrader 5. Trying to add this indicator for the drawdown control, but its not happening. There is no proper instruction to attach the indicator to chart and iam unable to attach the indicator to the chart as chart is only taking either my EA or take a break mt5 indicator. Need help. Kindly attach video of describing how to attach the indicator. Otherwise its useless for me.

I can try. I guess they should then be opened with the same magic number as the locked trade?

I evaluated this request again and came to the conclusion that this functionality will not be added to TaB.

The problem with this locking feature is that TaB is not supposed to open trades by itself. It should just manage trades opened by other EAs.
If TaB now starts opening lock orders, they again need to be managed somehow. It's not assured that the other EA will pick them up and - most importantly - manage them properly only because they have the same magic number.

Additionally, it would add just another layer of complexity to TaB which already contains a set of parameters that can be quite overwhelming.

If you really want to go with the hedging approach, there are plenty of other EAs that can be used for that: https://www.mql5.com/en/market/mt5/expert?filter=Lock

And they can already be used in combination with TaB as follows:

• Assuming you have an existing Chart Group "Hedging"
• Open a new chart
• Put one of the hedging EAs on it
• Put the TaB indicator on this chart
• Set "Chart Group = Hedging"
• Set "Template type to create = Trading is NOT allowed"
• Close the chart again

To which setting or section are you referring to?

There is an option for minimum profit for trade close. I haven't tried it. I am assuming this is per trade. Is this correct?

If it is per trade, it would be great to be able to close trades based on a total profit amount for combined magic number trades before a news event.

This is calculated for all orders managed by the current TaB EA instance, not per trade. So it should already be what you are looking for.

If you are unsure about one of TaB's parameters, you can always download the free version and play around with it on a demo account.

yes, that should be sufficient for the use case you describe.

Just be sure to also set "Daily Profit/Loss values are specified in: Percent of Account Balance" then :)

Also, to play around with different TaB settings, I usually recommend to download the free version on a demo account.

MQL5 activations are tied to the hardware ID of your PC. So if you set up the 12 MT5 terminals on the same PC / VPS, then only 1 TaB activation is used.
