how do you invoke the auto trader

I do not know if I understand correctly, but when it comes to the option to activate automatic trading in the metatrader, you must have it in two places:

1. on a toolbar in the metatrader

2. In EA properties on tab "Common" (press F7) "Allow live trading" must be checked.

Ah get it now, read this

"In this situation, the best solution is to set up a robot to control your trades 24 hours a day. In Trade Manager you have the following functions for managing your positions:"

and figured there was a BOT function with App.

obviously wrong.

Taking this sentence out of context, you can actually think of the robot as a maintenance-free machine for placing transactions, while the next part clearly indicates that it is only about managing orders opened.

We will modify this sentence to make sure that we talked about existing orders placed manually.

Loving your EA Janusz!

Couple of things on my wish list. I often place orders for US30 with no TP set. I have 3 partial closes set and a trailing stop leaving the last % as a runner for as long as I wish. 2 things come up when doing this:

1) I would love for the tp1, tp2 etc. to be something that is drawn in the order block and can be moved around when setting up a pending order.

2) The TP bar (the green one) on the order block is a problem when setting a pending order with zero set for the TP, it is on top of the blue pending line bar so its real hard to reverse a buy to a sell. Could we look at an option to eliminate the tp bar if value is zero?

Thanks as always

With some further testing I am struggling to keep no TP set on pending orders...

Hi Scott,

ad. 1.

This is something we are working on right now. Take a look at the photos below.

ad. 2.

Yes, I know this is a problem and you have two solutions at the moment:

a) set TP very far so that the probability of the price reaching TP is practically close to zero.

b) set TP to any value and after placing the order, right-click on the TP line and delete TP.

The situation is that in March I have to have an surgery and I will be absent for a while. Before this, I want to publish an update with the visualization of the levels of partial closure, and only when I return (at the end of March), I will add the possibility of excluding TP from the order placed.

In hindsight having an option to adjust an order box and not change your default options for the next order would fix so many little things!

Probably the easiest way would be to add an option, when you can save the template with the settings and set that it has to automatically load these settings after placing the order.

Vey much looking forward to the update including visual partial TPs Janusz! Awesome.

Thank you! My operation delays the moment of publication a bit, because I do not want to upload the new version a moment before my absence, because I will not be able to make quick corrections in case of need. I hope everything will be fine soon. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.

Question on Partial Profit/Loss closing?

How does the EA round when doing percentages?

I want to set up percentages so partial profit closing scales with my lot size calculation.

I.E.

for a .06 lot 25% would be .015 and it seems to close .01

would 30% of .06 round from .018 to a .1 or .2

Thanks

The rounding rule is that we round down to 0.5, and up above 0.5.

So for a .06 lot 25% is .015 and after rounding it is .01

and 30% of .06 round from .018 is .02

If the current lot is equal to the minimum trade size then the entire trade is closed.

There comes a moment in life when need to stop for a moment and take care of your health so then can work at 100% again. I have to go to surgery and hence some delays. I will try to come back as soon as possible. When I regenerate, it will all gain momentum.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding of the situation.
