Aurora Prime MT5 is the MetaTrader 5 version of Aurora Prime for MT4. It is a grid Expert Advisor with a lot multiplier, one hedge step and an equity hard stop. All rules are fixed and shown on the chart panel. It needs no DLL and no external service.
How it trades
- First entry: the M5 MACD (12,26,9) main line crosses zero. Price must agree with the H4 EMA 50 and the H1 EMA 200, M15 RSI must not be above 65 for a buy or below 35 for a sell, and M5 RSI must be inside 25 to 75.
- Grid: if price moves against the basket by the grid step, the EA adds a level in the same direction. The step is the larger of 850 points and H1 ATR x 2.5, and it widens x1.4 per level. Each level's lot is x1.3. Up to 7 levels. The last two levels also need an M5 RSI extreme.
- Hedge: after the last level, if price moves 350 more points against the basket, one opposite position of 80% of the grid volume is opened.
- Exit: the basket is closed by a trailing rule on its net profit (start 0.50, giveback 0.15, in account currency), or at a net profit of 0.10 while hedged.
- Hard stop: when equity is 40% below balance, the EA closes all of its positions.
Positions have no individual stop loss or take profit.
Risk you must understand
A grid with a lot multiplier wins small amounts often and can lose a large amount at once. A long one-way move reaches the hard stop, and that loss is real. After a hard stop the EA continues trading. On gold the H1 ATR makes the grid very wide, so the hard stop is usually reached before the hedge level. In our own Strategy Tester runs with the default settings on XAUUSD, including 12 months of real ticks and each year from 2023 to 2025, the account lost most of its balance. Results on other symbols were mixed. Set the hard stop to an amount you accept to lose, and test with your broker on a demo account first.
Panel
Status, filter state, positions, net basket profit, the current grid step, the lot of every level, hedge and hard stop settings, and lines for the next level and the hedge trigger.
Account types
Hedging accounts: all features. Netting accounts: the grid runs as one position and the hedge step is skipped.
Main inputs
Auto lot (0.01 per 50 of balance, up to 0.10) or fixed lot, hard stop %, hedge on/off and size, maximum levels, minimum step, ATR step and multipliers, lot multiplier, each entry filter, trailing start and step, pause hours (server time), magic number.
Differences from the MT4 version
Same trading rules. Fixed in MT5: the trailing exit keeps its peak when profit dips below the start, the hard stop also works during the pause hours, the last-level filter counts only this EA's positions, and the hedge check is per symbol. The words AI and Neural were removed because the rules are plain indicator conditions.
Important
This software does not promise any result. Trading leveraged products involves a high risk of loss. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
