GOLD RETEST SNIPER
A MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor for Gold/XAUUSD. It waits for an overnight-range breakout, a boundary retest and a directional completed-candle close. It uses M15 data regardless of the chart timeframe and trades the symbol of the chart it is attached to. It is designed and tested for Gold (XAU/USD).
SIZING NOTE
The preferred risk budget is 0.25% of equity. The minimum-lot option is ON by default: if normal sizing is below the broker minimum, one minimum lot may use a separate budget up to 1% of equity. Both paths retain 10% sizing headroom and fee/execution reserves. Turn InpAllowMinimumLot OFF for strict preferred-budget sizing. Entries still skip if the minimum lot does not fit the applicable budget or margin allowance. These are modeled budgets, not guaranteed maximum losses.
TRADING LOGIC
The overnight range covers completed M15 candles from 00:00 to 06:00 UTC. At least 16 candles are required. Missing candles are accepted only when the broker's published weekly trading schedule marks that slot closed; missing open-market candles invalidate the range. An actual completed final range candle is required. Complete observed candle data remains usable if session metadata is unavailable; without a known schedule, all range slots must be present.
Entries are checked from 07:00 to 12:00 UTC by default. A breakout must start inside the range. A retest is allowed within eight M15 bars, with a boundary tolerance of 0.35 ATR. The confirmation candle must touch that boundary zone and close directionally beyond the broken boundary. An optional stricter filter also requires the close to beat the previous candle high or low; this extra filter is OFF by default.
Default broker-side stop: 1.5 ATR14. Target: 1.5 times the initial stop distance. Default limits: one filled entry per day, one position per Gold symbol and 360 minutes maximum holding time. Positions are also closed at the configured session end. No grid, martingale, averaging or loss-recovery lot multiplier is used.
EXECUTION CONTROLS
Volume is rounded down to the broker step. Spread must meet BOTH limits: 2.0 Gold quote-price units and 0.25 ATR by default. Quote freshness, margin, broker constraints and existing symbol exposure are checked before entry. Planned reserves default to 7 account-currency units per lot round trip and 0.01 ATR adverse execution per side. Review these assumptions for your broker.
Default account-equity triggers are 1.5% daily and 8% from the running peak. They stop entries and request closure of this EA positions, while leaving other positions alone. State persists across reinitialization and recognized cash flows adjust reference equity. A filled position outside its captured modeled budget prompts a protective close request. An ambiguous entry response stops entries for the day. Gaps, slippage, outages and rejected close requests can cause larger losses.
SETUP
Use desktop MT5, Algo Trading enabled and a stable connection or VPS. Attach one instance to your broker's Gold (XAU/USD) chart. Leave InpGoldSymbol empty to trade the chart symbol, or enter an exact broker symbol name to override it. The engine also checks every five seconds, so position management does not depend only on chart tick arrivals. Other symbols are untested; the defaults are tuned for Gold.
Set the broker server-to-UTC offset correctly for the account and historical dates. Review daylight-saving changes manually. Current weekly session metadata does not reconstruct historical changes. Use a dedicated account and one instance per symbol/magic. Other positions or pending orders on Gold block entries. Avoid manual trading on a symbol with an active EA position. No historical news filter, DLL or external trading API is required. Broker fees, VPS costs and trading capital are separate from the software price.

TEST EVIDENCE AND LIMITATIONS
Version 1.34 compiled with zero errors/warnings. Separate harnesses built from the production core passed 95 native engineering checks and seven history-failure recovery checks. Internal self-test mode is not shipped in the customer binary. The exact customer binary was run in the following simulations. A January-June 2026 development simulation on Exness-MT5Trial7, XAUUSDm, USD25,000, 1:100 leverage and 30ms delay reported 100% real ticks: 48 trades, net -USD94.19, profit factor 0.9163 and maximum equity drawdown 1.7645%. Recorded commission was zero. An additional sensitivity to USD7/lot round trip and 0.10 Gold-price units adverse execution per side gave -USD138.20 on that executed path; this is not a new execution simulation.
A separate January-September 2024 Gold-only diagnostic used XAUUSDm M15, USD1,000, 1:100 leverage, 30ms delay and generated every-tick modeling. It produced 109 trades, net +USD9.36, profit factor 1.0484 and equity drawdown 4.1421%. History quality was reported as 99%; this is not a real-tick claim. Applying the same added-cost sensitivity gave -USD20.07. This diagnostic does not establish a profitable edge or reproduce undisclosed Market-validator conditions.
The primary development test loses money, and the diagnostic loses money after the added-cost sensitivity. No profitable edge, out-of-sample return, verified live track record, profit target or prop-firm approval is established. Checks passing does not prove every failure mode safe. Evaluate independently in Strategy Tester and demo before deployment. Trading can lose capital.
FAQ
Which instrument does it trade? The chart symbol. It is designed and tested for Gold (XAU/USD), so attach it to your broker Gold chart.
Will it trade every day? No. Signals, session, history, spread, exposure, risk and margin checks can block an entry.
Why can a small account show no trades? Broker minimum volume may exceed the capped budget. The EA will skip rather than exceed the configured ceiling. No universal minimum deposit is promised.
Does 0.25% always apply? No. With the default minimum-lot option ON, the broker minimum may use a budget up to 1%. Switch the option OFF for strict preferred-risk sizing.
Are profits or maximum losses guaranteed? No. The disclosed tests lose money and execution can exceed modeled risk.
