Embercrest XAU Breakout

No Grid or Martingale. 

Built for XAUUSD M15. It monitors XAUUSD for break outs with strength, it then places a pending order to join the move, and sends every trade with fixed stops. Simple on-chart controls let you adjust it at any time without opening the settings.


Install Embercrest from the Market in the MetaTrader 5 desktop terminal, then attach it to an XAUUSD M15 chart. The recommended .set files and the user manual (PDF) are in the Comments section of this product page.

Overview

Embercrest is selective by design. It trades long only by default and stays out until a clear breakout appears, so there can be days between trades. Each trade risks a fixed amount of money that you choose, and a drawdown limit protects the account.

A small window in the top-left corner of the chart shows Embercrest's status, results and open trades. Click the small arrow at its top right to open six tabs, or hover over the i icon for a quick guide. You can turn trading on or off and change the risk level directly on the chart.

2025 backtest (Strategy Tester): XAUUSD M15, 1 Jan to 31 Dec 2025, 10,000 USD deposit, 1:100 leverage, 1 minute TF, default inputs (drawdown limit 50%). Net profit +3,616.52 USD, profit factor 4.82, maximum equity drawdown 6.40% (729.02 USD), 63 trades. This is a historical simulation, not a promise of future results.

Core Features

  • Breakout Entries: Joins strong breakouts on gold with a pending order, and stays out of quiet markets.
  • Stop Loss and Take Profit: Every trade is sent with both, so no position is left without protection.
  • Fixed-Money Risk: Each trade risks a fixed amount in your account currency (25 by default). The broker's minimum lot still applies, so on small amounts the real risk can be higher.
  • Drawdown Limit: If the account falls by your chosen limit from its peak (at most 50%), Embercrest closes its trades and pauses until the next trading week.
  • Daily Loss Limit: New entries pause for the rest of the day once the daily loss limit is reached.
  • On-Chart Controls: See balance, equity, today's result and drawdown at a glance, and change risk level, trade direction, trade size, maximum trades, maximum spread, session filter and drawdown limit live. Changes apply to new trades and are remembered for that chart.
  • Safe Close All: The Close all button closes only Embercrest's own trades, and asks you to click twice to confirm.
  • Recommended Settings Button: Loads the suggested XAUUSD M15 setup in one click, and you can revert it.

Important Notes

  • Embercrest trades long only by default and is designed for XAUUSD M15. Other symbols and timeframes are not the recommended setup.
  • Always test Embercrest on a demo account before using it on a live account.
  • Broker execution, spread, swap, commission and slippage can materially affect results.
  • In the Strategy Tester the on-chart controls only show figures, so backtests always follow the inputs.
  • Past performance does not guarantee future performance. Trading involves risk.
