Product Description
Copy trades between MetaTrader 5 accounts automatically with flexible multi-symbol mapping.
The MT5 Master–Slave Trade Copier is a utility designed to synchronize open market positions from a master MT5 account to one or more slave MT5 terminals using a shared file.
It supports broker-specific symbol mapping, allowing trades on symbols such as XAUUSD to be copied to XAUUSDz, or BTCUSD to BTCUSDz. Users can configure a fixed lot size for copied trades and synchronize position openings, stop-loss and take-profit levels, and position closures.
Key Features
-
Master–Slave Operation: Configure one terminal as the master and another as the slave.
-
Multi-Symbol Mapping: Define multiple master-to-slave symbol pairs in one input.
-
Fixed Lot Sizing: Choose the lot size used for copied trades.
-
Position Synchronization: Copy market positions and synchronize their SL/TP levels and closures.
-
Broker Symbol Compatibility: Support different symbol suffixes and prefixes through explicit mappings.
-
Shared-File Communication: Exchange trade information through MT5's common files directory.
-
Configurable Synchronization Interval: Set how frequently the copier checks for changes.
Important Information
This utility is designed for copying open market positions. It does not copy pending orders. Both MT5 terminals must run on the same computer and have access to the same MT5 Common Files directory. Symbol specifications, trading hours, lot requirements, and price differences between brokers may affect execution.
The product does not guarantee identical entry prices or trading results between accounts. Test thoroughly on demo accounts before using it with real funds.
How to Use
Step 1: Install the EA
-
Download the .mq5 source file.
-
Open MetaEditor from MetaTrader 5.
-
Place the file in MQL5/Experts/.
-
Compile the file and ensure there are no errors.
-
Repeat the installation in each MT5 terminal that will participate in copying.
Step 2: Configure the Master Terminal
-
Log in to the MT5 account whose trades you want to copy.
-
Attach the EA to a chart.
-
Set CopierRole to COPIER_MASTER.
-
Enable Algo Trading.
-
Confirm the Experts tab reports successful initialization and snapshot writing.
The master terminal automatically uses its own account login to identify the shared file.
Step 3: Configure the Slave Terminal
-
Log in to the receiving MT5 account.
-
Attach the same EA to a chart.
-
Set CopierRole to COPIER_SLAVE.
-
Set MasterLogin to the exact account number of the master account.
-
Set FixedLotSize to the desired copied trade volume.
-
Enable Algo Trading.
The master and slave must use the same computer's MT5 Common Files directory.
Step 4: Test the Copier
-
Open a small demo market position on the master.
-
Check that the corresponding position appears on the slave.
-
Verify the symbol, lot size, SL and TP.
-
Close the master position and confirm that the slave position closes.
-
Review the Experts tab on both terminals for diagnostic messages.
Troubleshooting
-
No trades copied: Confirm the master login, EA roles, Algo Trading permissions, and shared file location.
-
Symbol unavailable: Check the symbol mapping and make sure the slave symbol is available in Market Watch.
-
Order rejected: Check the broker's minimum lot size, trading hours, stop-level requirements, and Experts log.
-
File access error: Confirm both terminals use the same MT5 Common Files directory and that the master is writing snapshots successfully.
Risk Disclaimer: Trading involves risk. This utility facilitates trade copying but does not eliminate execution differences, slippage, spread changes, or the possibility of losses. Always test on demo accounts before live use.
