• G signals are counter-move entries taken after an extended move.
• E signals are entries in the direction of the prevailing trend.
• Signals appear only after the candle has closed. A signal that is displayed will not disappear or move.
1. Entering a Trade
Wait for the signal candle to close.
Enter at the open of the next candle, or at the close of the signal candle if your platform allows it.
Take only the signal types you have chosen to trade. Treat G and E as separate strategies with separate expectations.
2. Stop-Loss and Take-Profit
• TradingView: each signal draws its own SL, TP1 and TP2 levels. Hover over a label to see the exact prices and the risk-to-reward ratio.
• MT4 / MT5: levels are not drawn. Place the stop-loss beyond the swing low (for a buy) or the swing high (for a sell) of the move that preceded the signal, and set targets as multiples of that risk (for example 1R and 2R).
• Size each position so that a stop-loss costs a fixed, small percentage of your account.
3. Alerts
• TradingView: create an alert, choose GTCM_Indicator as the condition and select Any alert() function call. Each alert states the system, direction, entry, SL and TP.
• MT4 / MT5: set the Alerts input to true to receive pop-up alerts. Push notifications additionally require your MetaQuotes ID under Tools → Options → Notifications.
4. Using the Statistics Table (TradingView)
• The table summarises how past signals on the loaded chart history resolved, separately for GSS and EMA.
• Base decisions only on rows that contain at least 30 signals.
• The figures exclude spreads, slippage and commissions and are not a backtest. Use them to compare signal types, not to forecast returns.
5. Recommended Practice
• Forward-test on a demo account before trading live capital.
• Prefer instruments on which a typical stop is large compared with your spread and commission. When stops are small, trading costs consume a significant share of every trade.
• Avoid new entries in the minutes around high-impact economic releases.
• Signals may differ slightly between TradingView and MetaTrader because broker price feeds differ.
This indicator is an analytical tool and does not constitute financial advice. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.
