Hi, I'm Milana. - Versione: 1.0
CRT MTF is a multi-timeframe Candle Range Theory indicator for MetaTrader 5. It finds the CRT model on up to two higher timeframes, draws its range on the chart you trade and shows the higher-timeframe candles next to the price.
1. CRT Model
A CRT model is built from two candles of the chosen timeframe. The first is the range candle. The second is the trap candle: it takes one side of the range candle and closes back inside the range.
- Bearish CRT: the trap candle trades above the high of the range candle and closes back inside. The target is the low of the range.
- Bullish CRT: the trap candle trades below the low of the range candle and closes back inside. The target is the high of the range.
The swept side is marked with a short line over the range candle. The target side is drawn as a line that runs forward until price reaches it.
2. CRT States
- Pending: the model is active and the target has not been reached. The target line follows the current bar.
- Completed: price touched the opposite side of the range. The line stops on that bar.
- Invalid: a candle of the CRT timeframe closed beyond the swept side. Invalid models are hidden by default and can be switched on.
Each state has its own colors for bullish and bearish models.
3. Multi-Timeframe
Two CRT timeframes can be used at once, for example 1H and 4H on an M5 chart. Each line is labeled with its timeframe. When two timeframes share the same level, they share one label, for example "1H / 4H". A timeframe below the chart timeframe is replaced by the chart timeframe.
4. Filters and Display
- Filter by 50% Level: keeps only models where the trap candle closes in the correct half of the range.
- Show PENDING CRTs: shows a model while its trap candle is still open, in a faded color. Such a model can still change until the candle closes.
- Show remaining minutes: adds the time left until the trap candle closes.
- Show only Completed CRT: keeps only models whose target was reached after the trap candle closed.
- Max CRTs visible: how many completed and invalid models stay on the chart.
- Days to calculate: how far back models are searched.
5. Higher-Timeframe Candles
Up to two sets of higher-timeframe candles are drawn to the right of the price, with a chosen number of candles in each set.
- Swing sweep lines: a line from a candle's high or low when the next candle takes it. Dashed while the next candle is still forming, solid once it has closed back.
- Equilibrium line: the 0.5 level of the previous candle.
- Fair value gaps and volume imbalances between the higher-timeframe candles.
- Timeframe label, remaining time of the current candle and the open time of each candle (New York time).
- Candle colors, width, spacing and distance from the current bar are adjustable.
6. Appearance
Labels and thin lines adapt to the chart background: dark on a light chart, light on a dark chart. CRT line colors and candle colors are set in the inputs.
