What it does

Gold Grand Line runs six groups of gold strategies side by side from a single XAUUSD H1 chart: 12 hour-gated pullback facets, a 9-slot pivot-breakout group (7 slots are active in its default tables, 2 are empty), 1 H4 swing breakout, 3 pivot breakouts, 5 swing-extreme stacks and 1 32-hour channel breakout: 31 facets defined, 29 of them place orders. Each facet places its own buy stop or sell stop order at a level computed from recent swings or channels; it never opens at market. Every order is sent with a stop loss, and open positions are then managed by break-even moves, trailing stops or a time stop, depending on the group. The lot is fixed at 0.01 per order: no averaging down, no martingale, no lot increase after a loss. Each group has its own magic-number range, so its trades can be told apart in the account history.

Where it sits in the Strategy Lab lineup

Gold (XAUUSD), from one behaviour to the full set:

  • Gold Swing Break MT5: one H4 swing breakout, one position at a time, low frequency.
  • Triple Trigger MT5: breakouts of the 24, 48 and 72-hour rolling high/low, trailing exits.
  • Gold Nine Layer: a nine-slot pivot-breakout group on one chart (7 slots active in the default tables).
  • Gold Grand Line MT5: 6 groups on one chart, 29 active facets. It contains the Gold Nine Layer, Gold Swing Break and Gold Flash Scalper engines (same rules and tables) plus three groups that are not sold separately on MQL5. Triple Trigger is not part of it. Buy a single module if you want only one behaviour.

Separate lines:

  • Gold Flash Scalper MT5: 32-hour channel breakout on gold, one position, fast trailing stop.
  • OIL Surge Break MT5: WTI crude oil (USOIL) H1 pivot breakouts.
  • Relay Grid MT5: AUDNZD / AUDCAD / NZDCAD mean-reversion grid whose lot grows with each level (martingale-type), no stop loss by default. The only grid in the lineup; every other product above uses a fixed lot with no averaging down and no martingale.

Backtest (reproducible with default inputs)

MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, XAUUSD H1, 2022.02.01 - 2026.09.25, every tick based on real ticks (history quality 100%), Exness Technologies Ltd. Initial deposit $10,000 (the recommended deposit per 0.01 lot), leverage 1:500, default inputs. Three runs with random execution delay; the run with the median profit factor is shown (profit factor of the three runs: 1.69 - 1.70; maximum equity drawdown of the three runs: $1,288 - $1,348).

Note: the report shows history quality 100%, but the tester log shows that for 5.1% of minute bars the real ticks did not match the bar prices; the tester generated ticks for those minutes.

Same test on XMTrading KIWAMI (GOLD#, history quality 100%, same period and inputs, median of three random-delay runs): net profit +$22,261, profit factor 1.66, maximum equity drawdown $1,356 (13.6%), 9,509 trades.

What to expect / Risks

  • Our internal standard asks for a maximum drawdown of 10% or less of the starting capital. This EA does not meet it at the recommended deposit: the maximum equity drawdown in the test above is 13.5% of the initial deposit.
  • Win rate 45.3%. The longest losing streak in the test was 26 trades in a row.
  • Many positions can be open at the same time: up to 24 in the test (median 5 when a new one opens). Margin use rises with the number of open positions.
  • Profit is not spread evenly over time: 2025-2026 account for 80.4% of the net profit in the test above. Years with a loss: none.
  • Results depend on spread, execution speed and the broker's price feed. The test was repeated on a second broker (see above); your own broker's figures will differ.

Requirements

  • Hedging account only (the facets hold positions in both directions at the same time). On a netting account the EA shows a warning and places no orders.
  • Recommended deposit: $10,000 per 0.01 lot (the deposit used in the test above).
  • XAUUSD (or your broker's gold symbol, e.g. with a suffix), H1 chart, one chart per account.
  • A VPS running 24/5. No spread filter is built in; the published tests use Exness and XMTrading KIWAMI spreads.
  • On any other symbol or timeframe the EA prints a warning and does not trade.

Inputs

Every group has its own inputs, prefixed in the input window ([Hour-gated], [Nine-layer], [H4 swing break], [Pivot breakout], [Swing stack], [32h flash break]). Main defaults: lot 0.01 in every group; magic bases 20263600 (hour-gated), 20263500 (nine-layer), 20261300 (H4 swing), 20263300 (pivot breakout), 20263400 (swing stack), 20261200 (32h flash break); GHG_Inp_ServerGMTOffset = 0 (hour-gate clock shift; 0 is how every published test ran, on both GMT+0 and GMT+2/+3 servers); Inp_ShowPanel = true. Keep the defaults to reproduce the test.

Price rises by $50 after every 5 purchases, up to $699. Current: $149.
