AURUM XAU PRO is a fully automated trading system engineered specifically for the XAUUSD (Gold) market. Rather than relying on a single indicator crossover, it combines a directional trend engine, multi-timeframe confirmation, and a two-tier self-protection framework into one coordinated decision process — built to bring structure and discipline to trading an instrument known for sharp, fast-moving price action.

1. How It Works

At the core of AURUM XAU PRO is an ADX/DI trend engine that reads directional strength (+DI / -DI) together with trend momentum (ADX) to identify genuine trending conditions, including a dedicated pattern designed to detect potential trend reversals after a sustained price decline.

A signal from the trend engine is never traded in isolation. Before any position is opened, it must pass through a stack of independent confirmation filters:

• Multi-timeframe moving average alignment — trend direction is cross-checked against a proprietary fast/medium/slow moving average structure on the current chart timeframe, then re-validated across several additional lower timeframes, so a trade is only considered when the broader market structure agrees.
• ATR(H1) volatility filter — trades are avoided when the market is too quiet to justify the risk.
• RSI filter — momentum is checked in the direction of the proposed trade.

Even once every filter aligns, AURUM XAU PRO does not enter immediately. It registers the setup as a pending signal and waits for price to actually move a minimum number of pips in the signal's favor before execution — a built-in confirmation step designed to reduce entries into false or premature breakouts. If price fails to confirm within a defined number of bars, the signal is automatically discarded.

Once in a trade, position management continues automatically: a per-position trailing stop locks in floating profit as price advances, and the number of simultaneous take-profit targets per signal (one, two, or three tiers) is fully configurable, allowing the size of each trade cluster to be scaled to the trader's own risk appetite.

2. Protection System

Capital protection is handled on two independent levels:

Drawdown Lock. AURUM XAU PRO continuously tracks the account's peak balance and peak floating equity. If account value falls by a customizable percentage from that peak, the EA automatically halts new entries for a configurable number of days. Open positions can optionally be closed immediately once the lock is triggered, so exposure stops compounding while the lock is in effect — after which the peak baseline resets and normal trading resumes once the lock period has elapsed.

Hourly Performance Restriction. The EA keeps a running win/loss record for every hour of the trading day. If a given hour's win rate falls to or below a defined threshold after a minimum number of closed trades, that hour is automatically restricted to a single entry per signal for a set number of days before returning to normal — an adaptive response to hours that have historically underperformed.

Both mechanisms are stored persistently in the trading terminal, so protection status and statistics are retained even if the EA or the platform is restarted.

3. Recommended Timeframe & Instrument

AURUM XAU PRO is built and calibrated specifically for XAUUSD (Gold) on the M15 timeframe. Its trend-detection logic, multi-timeframe confirmation stack, and pip-based distance settings are all tuned around gold's typical volatility and price behavior on this timeframe. The EA is not designed for use on other currency pairs or other timeframes, and should not be expected to perform consistently outside this intended scope.
