📊 Vyl Daily Sessions & Drawdown Tracker — Full Guide

🎯 Short Description (for the Market product card)

Vyl Daily Sessions & Drawdown Tracker is an all-in-one indicator for MetaTrader 5 that combines professional chart mapping with advanced trading-discipline control.

The tool automatically draws the key trading sessions and the previous day's liquidity levels, and adds a unique Discipline Dashboard that tracks your daily stats in real time and instantly warns you when you're approaching your drawdown limit — helping you avoid emotional trading and blowing your account.

Ideal for:
- Traders using the Smart Money / Price Action method
- Beginners who struggle to control daily losses and overtrading
- Professionals who value a clean chart and strict risk management

Key Features

1.
🌐 Trading Session Visualization
- Automatically draws the Asian, London, and New York sessions
- Flexible start/end time settings for each session (adjustable to your broker's server time)
- Adjustable transparency and colors so it looks clean on any chart background

2.
📏 Liquidity Levels (Previous Day High/Low)
- Automatically finds and draws the previous trading day's high and low
- Dashed lines with adjustable color and style
- Helps you spot liquidity-grab zones and reversals accurately

3.
🛡Discipline Dashboard
A unique info panel that works as your personal "circuit breaker":
- Today's Trades — counts your closed trades for the current day (protection against overtrading)
- Daily P/L — total result for the day (including open and closed positions)
- Drawdown — current drawdown as a percentage of the day's equity peak

Visual warning system:
- 🟡 Yellow signal: "Approaching limit" — you're getting close to your set loss limit. Time to stop and reassess.
-
🔴 Red signal: " DAILY LIMIT REACHED" — your loss limit has been hit. The indicator strongly recommends you stop trading until tomorrow.

🔧 Installation in MetaTrader 5

📖 How to Use the Indicator Effectively

Scenario 1: Trading Off Liquidity Levels
1. Make sure the ShowPrevDayHL option is enabled
2. Yesterday's high and low lines will appear on the chart
3. Use these levels to spot false breakouts (liquidity grabs) before entering in the direction of the main trend

Scenario 2: Controlling Emotional Trading (Tilt)
This is the indicator's main selling point. Most traders don't blow their account because of a bad strategy — they blow it because they can't stop after a losing streak.

1. Set DrawdownLimitPct to a level you're comfortable with (e.g., 2% or 3% of your account)
2. Trade as usual. The indicator automatically tracks your drawdown from the day's equity peak
3. If you take several losing trades in a row, your drawdown will start climbing
4. Once drawdown reaches 70% of your limit, the panel text turns yellow ("Approaching limit"). This is your signal: "Take a break, step away from the screen, breathe."
5. If you ignore the yellow warning and keep trading at a loss, once you hit 100% of your limit the panel turns bright red ("
DAILY LIMIT REACHED")

Rule of use: When the red signal appears, close your terminal until the next trading session begins.

💡 Tip: The indicator shows you a "red card," but the final decision is always yours. If you find it hard to physically stop yourself from clicking the buttons, consider pairing it with an automated trade-blocking tool or working on your trading discipline through dedicated training.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Does the indicator trade automatically?
A: No. This is an analytical and informational tool. It doesn't open or close trades — it only gives you visual cues and statistics.

Q: Why don't the session times on the chart match my local time?
A: The indicator uses your broker's trading server time. To set up the sessions correctly, check the time shown in the "Market Watch" window and adjust the StartHour and EndHour settings accordingly.

Q: How do the panel's counters reset at the start of a new day?
A: The indicator automatically detects a new trading day based on server time. The Trades, P/L, and Drawdown counters reset on their own when a new trading day begins.

Q: Is drawdown calculated only from closed trades?
A: No. The indicator calculates "floating" drawdown. It tracks your maximum equity for the day and compares it to your current equity. If you open a trade that goes deeply negative, the Drawdown reading on the panel updates instantly — even before you close the trade.

Q: Does the indicator work on all symbols?
A: Yes, it works correctly with any symbol: Forex pairs, metals, indices, and cryptocurrencies. The Discipline Panel only counts trades on the chart's current symbol.

️ Risk Disclaimer

Trading financial markets (Forex, CFDs, futures) carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of part or all of your capital.

Vyl Daily Sessions & Drawdown Tracker is purely a supporting analytical tool. It does not guarantee profit and does not protect against losses. The "Drawdown Warning" feature is for informational purposes only and does not forcibly block trading operations.

Use the indicator at your own risk. We strongly recommend testing it on a demo account first. Past results do not guarantee future returns.
