Dow Hunter Bot is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed to trade Dow index symbols around the New York stock market open.
The strategy marks the current daily high and low shortly before the configured New York open time. After the session begins, the EA waits for price to break beyond the marked daily range. If the breakout remains active for the confirmation period, the EA opens one initial market trade with a stop loss based on the current M5 candle range and a take profit based on the selected risk-reward ratio.
If the initial trade is stopped out, Dow Hunter Bot can open one reverse trade during the same trading session. The reverse trade uses the current daily high or low with a configurable buffer for stop loss placement. At the end of the configured session window, the EA closes its own open position and stops trading for the New York day.
The EA is designed for Dow index symbols such as US30, US30.cash, YM, or YM.cash. Symbol names can vary between brokers, so attach the EA to the broker symbol that represents the Dow index. The EA can run on the current chart symbol, but Dow index symbols are recommended.

Input parameters:
- Recommended symbols: informational list of preferred Dow index symbols.
- Risk mode: percent of account balance used for risk calculation.
- New York open hour: default 9, based on New York time.
- New York open minute: default 30.
- Session minutes: trading window after the New York open.
- Mark seconds before open: when the daily range is captured.
- Breakout candle SL percent: stop loss distance for the first trade based on the current M5 candle range.
- Breakout confirmation seconds: time price must remain beyond the marked level.
- Risk reward: take profit multiplier compared with stop loss distance.
- D1 SL buffer points: stop loss buffer for the reverse trade.
- Max spread points: optional spread filter. Set to 0 to disable.
- Magic number: unique identifier for EA positions.
- Slippage points: allowed execution deviation.
Recommended usage:
Attach Dow Hunter Bot to a Dow index chart such as US30, US30.cash, YM, or YM.cash. Use the Strategy Tester before live trading and check that the broker symbol specification, spread, stop level, and trading session match your settings.
