FVG Detector Mitigation Tracker
- Indicatori
- Versione: 1.0
FVG Detector automatically identifies Fair Value Gaps on any symbol and timeframe, using the standard 3-candle wick-based definition:
- Bullish FVG: the low of candle 3 is above the high of candle 1
- Bearish FVG: the high of candle 3 is below the low of candle 1
The gap zone is drawn as a rectangle and extended to the right until price mitigates it.
Key feature — configurable mitigation logic. Traders do not all define mitigation the same way, so the indicator lets you choose:
- Touch: any entry of price into the zone
- 50 percent: price reaches the midpoint of the zone (Consequent Encroachment)
- Full fill: price trades through the entire zone
Additional features:
- ATR-based minimum size filter to remove insignificant micro-gaps (configurable multiplier, disabled by default)
- Optional 50 percent midline displayed inside each zone
- Mitigated zones can be kept on chart (grayed out) or removed automatically
- Configurable colors for bullish, bearish and mitigated zones
- Chart alerts and optional push notifications on new FVG formation and on mitigation
- History lookback and maximum number of displayed zones are configurable to keep charts fast
The detection is non-repainting: an FVG is confirmed only on the close of the third candle and is never removed or redrawn afterwards. Mitigation status is updated in real time.
Works on all symbols (Forex, indices, metals, crypto CFDs) and all timeframes.
Input parameters:
- History lookback (bars): how far back to scan on load. Default 500.
- Min FVG size (x ATR): 0 disables the filter. Suggested 0.3 to 0.5 on low timeframes.

- Max FVGs kept on chart: object cap for chart performance. Default 30.
- Mitigation mode: Touch, 50 percent, or Full fill. Default 50 percent.
- Keep mitigated zones: show mitigated zones in gray instead of deleting them.
- Appearance: bullish, bearish and mitigated colors, midline on or off.
- Alerts: new FVG alert, mitigation alert, push notifications.
