The Five-Factor Signal Engine

Every entry decision is the output of a weighted composite score across five distinct market dimensions:

1. Trend — EMA 21 / 55 / 200 Triple exponential moving average alignment confirms that price is moving with momentum, not against it. No trades are taken against the dominant trend structure.

2. Momentum — RSI-14 & MACD RSI filters overbought/oversold extremes. MACD histogram measures the acceleration and conviction of the current move. Both must agree before a signal is scored.

3. Volatility — Bollinger Band %B & Squeeze Detection %B identifies where price sits within its statistical range. Squeeze detection flags periods of compressed volatility — historically the precursor to high-probability breakouts.

4. Mean Reversion — 20-Bar Z-Score A rolling Z-score quantifies how far price has deviated from its statistical mean. Extreme readings filter out chasing entries and surface high-probability reversion setups.

5. Volume — On-Balance Volume (OBV) OBV confirms whether a price move is backed by genuine participation or likely to fade. Divergence between price and OBV is used as a signal filter, not just an indicator.

All five factors are scored and weighted. A trade is only executed when the composite signal crosses a defined threshold — eliminating marginal, low-confidence setups automatically.

Risk Management Architecture
