Saxon Slayer — EMA + SuperTrend Grid EA
Saxon Slayer is a disciplined grid/martingale Expert Advisor built around a dual-confirmation entry system. The result is a bot that only enters when multiple timeframe indicators reach full confluence — keeping trade frequency disciplined and drawdown lower than a typical martingale system.
This is not a "set and forget, retire in 6 months" bot. It is a methodically built system designed to perform well with the correct settings for your account size. The included set files have been optimized across 20+ years of historical data to maximise robustness across different market conditions — not just cherry-picked results. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
How it works
- Entries are triggered only when multiple timeframe indicators reach full confluence — the EA will not trade unless all conditions are met
- If price moves against the initial trade, the EA adds positions at configurable intervals using linear martingale — lot sizes scale by a fixed multiplier across up to 5 levels
- A hard Dollar Drawdown Stop Loss closes the entire grid if the floating loss reaches a configurable USD threshold — this is the safety net that prevents account blow-ups that standard martingale bots are notorious for
- Take profit is calculated dynamically from a volatility indicator, adapting to current market conditions
Optional filters (all configurable)
- Session filter — restrict trading to specific UTC hours
- CCI filter — only enter when the market is in overbought/oversold territory
- Fractal Efficiency Ratio filter — only trade when the market is trending, not ranging
- Trend filter for martingale adds — prevents adding to a grid that is fighting the trend
Money Management
Saxon Slayer includes an automatic lot scaling system. As your account balance grows, the base lot size increases proportionally — but with a configurable exponent that allows conservative scaling, so risk as a percentage of balance decreases over time rather than compounding aggressively.
Recommended setup
- Pair: GBPUSD (primary — this is where the bot earns its name)
- Minimum account: $2,000 USD standard account, or $20 cent account
- Default settings: H1 signal timeframe
- Included set files are ready to use — optimized across 20+ years of tick data
What this bot is — and isn't
Saxon Slayer uses martingale. That word carries baggage because most martingale bots have no exit plan when things go wrong. Saxon Slayer does — the dollar drawdown SL is always on. It is not a holy grail and no profits are guaranteed. It requires a sensible account size and respect for the recommended settings. Used correctly, it is a rule-based system with a structured approach to risk on GBPUSD.
