OB Hunter is an automated trading system based on the Order Block concept. The EA scans historical price data to identify important supply and demand zones, then places limit orders when price returns to these areas.

The system is designed to work on many symbols, but it performs best on XAUUSD (Gold).

OB Hunter combines order block detection, trend filtering and basket profit management to create a structured trading strategy suitable for both manual monitoring and fully automated operation.

Trading Logic

The EA continuously scans historical price data to detect significant Order Block zones where institutional buying or selling activity may have occurred.

When price revisits these zones, the EA places pending orders near the center of the Order Block area. Additional positions may be placed if price continues deeper into the zone, following a structured lot progression system.

All positions are managed using a basket profit system. Once the total profit of the open trades reaches the defined target, the EA closes all positions automatically.

Risk Protection System

OB Hunter includes an optional H4 risk protection filter.

When the EA detects a strong bearish reversal pattern on the H4 timeframe, trading activity will be temporarily locked. During this period the EA will:

  • Close existing positions
  • Remove pending orders
  • Stop opening new trades

Trading will automatically resume once market conditions are considered safe again.

Very impressive EA. It trades a wide range of instruments including indices, metals, and crypto. The main thing is to adjust the settings properly for each symbol. After some optimization and corrections in the strategy tester, the results look very strong. I’m quite satisfied so far. I will run it on a demo account for further testing and will update my review later. For now — 5 stars.

Very impressive EA. It trades a wide range of instruments including indices, metals, and crypto. The main thing is to adjust the settings properly for each symbol. After some optimization and corrections in the strategy tester, the results look very strong. I’m quite satisfied so far. I will run it on a demo account for further testing and will update my review later. For now — 5 stars.
