How It Works

The EA scans up to 200 bars of price history to identify the most recent swing high and swing low — the nearest confirmed pivot levels where price reversed. It then places:

• A BuyStop at the swing high (entry on upside breakout)
• A SellStop at the swing low (entry on downside breakout)

Each pending order carries a fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit defined in points. If the order is not triggered within the configured expiration period, it is automatically cancelled and replaced with a fresh level on the next bar.

Once a position is open, a step-trailing stop activates after price moves a defined number of points in profit. The trailing stop follows price at a configurable distance, locking in profits as the move extends.

Built-In News Filter

The EA connects to your broker's economic calendar and automatically blocks new pending orders before and after high-impact news events. When a news block activates, all existing pending orders are cancelled to prevent entries during volatile announcements. Optionally, open positions can also be closed when news hits.

Configurable parameters: minutes before event, minutes after event, high-impact only or include moderate, country filter.

Position Sizing

Five lot calculation methods:

• Fixed Lots — same size every trade
• % of Account Balance — risk a percentage of balance per trade
• % of Equity — risk a percentage of equity per trade
• % of Free Margin — risk a percentage of available margin
• Fixed Dollar Risk — risk a fixed dollar amount per trade

Built-in margin safety check: before every order, the EA verifies that free margin can cover the position. If not, the order is skipped — no broker errors, no margin calls.

Optional hard cap on maximum lot size regardless of calculation method.

Works on Any Symbol, Any Timeframe

While optimized for XAUUSD (Gold), the breakout logic works on any instrument with sufficient volatility. The swing detection adapts to whatever chart you attach it to.
