Every trader knows the feeling: you have a great plan, but then emotion takes over. You over-leverage, you revenge trade after a loss, you move your Stop Loss, or you "change your mind" about a pair mid-day.
The Fortress was created to solve the "Human Element." It is not a signal generator; it is a Hard-Rule Execution Manager. It acts as a digital supervisor that monitors your account 24/7. If you try to break your own rules, The Fortress steps in and closes the trade immediately. It forces you to be the disciplined trader you’ve always wanted to be.
How it WorksThe Fortress uses a Parent-Child Input System.
Master Switches (1, 2, 3...): These enable or disable a specific feature.
Sub-Settings (a, b, c...): These only apply if the Master Switch is set to True. If the Master Switch is False, you don't need to worry about the sub-settings at all!
Key Feature Groups 1. Remote Strategy Control (GitHub Integration)Stop "guessing" or changing your bias during the day.
Daily & Weekly Watchlists: Link the EA to a private GitHub Gist. You set your bias (e.g., EURUSD:UP) in the morning. The EA will block any trade that goes against your pre-planned direction.
The 5-Pair Rule: To ensure focus, the Daily list is limited to 5 pairs.
The Lock Hour: Once your "Lock Hour" is reached, the EA stops updating the list. This prevents you from editing your watchlist just because you are "bored" and want to force a trade.
2. Advanced Risk Management (The "Stealth" SL/TP)
Virtual Limits: Set a maximum loss or profit per trade in percentage. The EA can manage these as "Virtual" levels, hiding your actual targets from the broker to avoid stop-hunting.
Account Protection: If your Max Daily Loss or Max Weekly Profit is hit, the EA closes all positions and "locks" the account until the next period.
3. Smart SL & Break Even
Simple Break Even (1:1): Once a trade reaches a 1:1 Reward-to-Risk ratio, the EA automatically moves the Stop Loss to entry.
Smart Stepping SL: A revolutionary trailing system. It trails your SL based on your "Max Loss" setting. As your profit grows by a set USD amount, your virtual SL "steps" up, locking in chunks of profit without being too tight.
4. Anti-Revenge & Overtrading Rules
Frequency Caps: Limits how many trades you can open within 30 or 240 minutes. This prevents "Lot Stacking" and emotional revenge trading.
Cool Down Periods: Forces a mandatory "waiting period" after you close a trade or open a new one.
Time-Based Caps: Limit yourself to only 1 or 2 trades before a specific time (e.g., before the New York Open).
5. News & Rollover Awareness
ForexFactory Integration: The EA downloads high-impact news. You must adjust the offset to get the right time for high impact news. It will show you on dashboard of how many minutes left for the next upcoming Red news. Adjust the broker/ ForexFactory offset to get the news time right.
Spread Protection: During news or midnight rollover, the EA temporarily pauses SL/TP logic. This prevents your trades from being closed by artificial spread spikes while the actual price hasn't moved.
6. Stagnation Exit
The "Zombie Trade" Killer: If a trade has been hovering at a small profit for hours without hitting TP, the EA will close it automatically. Don't let your capital stay tied up in trades that aren't moving!
Setup Guide for GitHub Watchlist

Go to gist.github website and create a Secret Gist.

Name the file Daily_Watchlist.txt.

Enter your pairs and bias in this format: SYMBOL:DIRECTION; Example: EURUSD:UP;GBPUSD:DN;XAUUSD:UP;

Click "Raw", copy that URL, and paste it into the EA input 2b.

The EA will now only allow "UP" (Buy) trades for EURUSD and "DN" (Sell) trades for GBPUSD.
Important Notes
One Chart, All Symbols: You only need to attach The Fortress to one chart. It will monitor every trade opened on your account across all instruments.
ForexFactory Integration: You must adjust the offset to get the right time for high impact news. It will show you on dashboard of how many minutes left for the next upcoming Red news. Adjust the broker/ForexFactory offset to get the news time right.
Rollover protection: You must check the broker open and close time of daily candle and set the start hours 1 hour from the starting how and ends hour prior to 1 hour of closing. This means the EA will be actively monitoring your trades during this hours and when it comes to Rollover time, the EA pauses every closing features so that you don't get caught by the fake spike or crash during the rollover or news.
Manual Trade Compatibility: You can still open trades manually. If the trade violates your rules (wrong lot size, wrong direction, or over-trading), The Fortress will close it within 1 second.
Expert advisor Web Request: You need to add forexfactory and gist.githubusercontent on Tools>Option>Expert advisor>Allow WebRequest for listed URL. Check screenshot for further guidance.
Validation Logic: Input #1 (Market Validation) is only for MQL5 testing. Always keep this set to FALSE on your live account.
