Overview
Fortress Alpha Engine is an algorithm built specifically for EURUSD H1 with a 5 years backtest, delivering stable performance (including during this bad trading time) using controlled logic and trade filters. Designed with balance protection and clear entry logic — no grid, martingale, or overfitting.
Strategy
We are using a strategy based on a few technical indicators namely: ADX, Alligator, Williams' Percent Range, and RSI.
The logic goes like this:
- We are using those technical indicators mentioned above to determine entry point and trade direction (buy or sell)
- We set stop loss and take profits to exit the trade OR if the trade hit certain condition (based on technical indicator) it will close.
Backtest:
The backtest result below, is made using data from MetaQuotes. However we did put this algorithm to test in some other broker such as Eightcap (Demo) and Darwinex (Live). They have been performing well and join our portfolio of algorithms that we run live.
Backtest with Deposit $1,000 (Set #1):

Profit Factor: 1.37
Win rate: 56%
Max DD: 20.37%
*note: the DD can be managed by lowering the lot size depending on the deposit and it can be seen in the other backtest below where the initial deposit is $10,000

Profit Factor: 1.33
Win rate: 58%
Max DD: 13.22%
Recommended Settings:
Pair: EURUSD
Timeframe: H1
Minimum Deposit: $1,000 (it can be adjusted lower or higher, but lot size must be adjusted as well)
Account type: Raw Spread/ECN (trying to get as low spread as possible)
Brokers tested: Eightcap, Darwinex.
