USD News Analyzer
USD News Analyzer puts everything about USD economic releases into one panel on your chart. It shows what is coming and how the numbers compare with the forecast. It also shows whether price is following the news or going against it.
It reads only the MT5 built-in Economic Calendar. There are no external feeds, no web requests and no subscriptions.
It is an information tool. It does not open, close or manage trades.
Why traders use it
- See the next release at a glance. The panel shows a countdown, a highlight when a release is approaching, and the forecast and previous values.
- Your time zone, not ours. Times follow your computer's local time by default, including daylight saving. You can also choose UTC, broker time or a custom UTC offset, with a 24-hour or 12-hour clock.
- A quick read of the numbers. Each release is compared with the MT5 forecast and marked USD bullish, USD bearish or in line. The panel also shows the surprise size.
- Several releases at once are combined. For example, NFP, unemployment and wages arriving together give one clear label: All bullish, Mostly bearish, Mostly bullish (conflicting) or Mixed.
- See whether price agrees. The indicator measures price at fixed checkpoints after the release (default 1, 5 and 15 minutes). It labels the result Aligned or Contradicting news, and it can flag a spike followed by a reversal.
- No repainting. Each checkpoint is frozen once its candle has closed.
- Optional BUY/SELL hint. It appears only when the news bias, the H1 trend and the H4 trend all agree. By default it also requires price to confirm. It shows on the panel only and expires after a time you set.
- Alerts that don't repeat. Choose pop-up, sound or push notification. Each alert fires once, even if you reattach the indicator or open other charts.
- Light on resources. It is timer-driven, has no indicator buffers and creates only its own chart objects. A collapse button shrinks the panel to a few lines, and it remembers that state per chart.
Releases covered
Non-Farm Payrolls (including the prior-month revision), unemployment rate, average hourly earnings, CPI and Core CPI, PCE and Core PCE, PPI, GDP, retail sales, ISM PMIs, Fed rate decision, initial jobless claims, consumer confidence and sentiment, and JOLTS. FOMC statements and press conferences are listed but not scored, because they are not numeric. Other USD events of the importance level you choose are shown too.
Works on
Any chart with a USD link, such as EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY and USDCAD, and gold, silver and crypto symbols quoted in USD. The USD direction is detected automatically and can be set by hand if your broker uses unusual symbol names. Metals and crypto also react to other factors, and the panel notes this.
Important notes
- The bias is a rule-based reading of actual vs the MT5 forecast. It may differ from market consensus.
- News alone does not reliably predict price direction. Past reactions do not guarantee future ones. Trading carries risk, so always use your own risk management.
- The MT5 Economic Calendar is not available in the Strategy Tester, so the panel shows a notice there. Use the indicator on a live or demo chart.
- Calendar times come from your broker's server time. If times look off by an hour, change Broker server time handling (see below).
